Impeachment Committee - S. Dakota 00

We need volunteers to:

Collect petition signatures in front of the U.S. Court House,12th and Philips from noon til 1:00 p.m. each Saturday beginning November 25, 2006.
Write letters to the editor of the Argus Leader urging Representative Stephanie Herseth to support impeachment of George W. Bush.

Mr. Bush knowingly lied about WMD and other fabricated reasons for taking our country to war.

He continues to promulgate torture of enemies of the U.S.

Bush and his cronies are against a peaceful solution to the Bush-Iraq crisis until they have exhausted the treasures of the U.S. for decades into the future.

Day 1 - Nov 25, 06

There were lot's of thumbs-up and supportive-honks as people drove by. But few stopped and signed the petition. As a result the petition count was only five (with one invalid email).

The local paper, The Argus Leader, sent a journalist by and did a short interview. That article appeared in the Sunday paper.

I am going to change my strategy and become more agressive in asking for signatures. If I had been able to turn the honks and thumbs into signatures there would have been an impressive number of supporters.

This is a time in history that we should ask, "Ask not what your country can do for you, but ask what you can do for your country?"

Please join in this effort that clearly states we do not support the war crimes, lies and graft put forth by the bush/cheney debacle.

Please volunteer some time.

Thanks.

The people today were really great. Friendly and waving hello and lot's of thumbs up. Didn't get a lot of signatures, but there some progressive-agenda discussion.
