Ministry of Love Continues Doubleplusgood Book Collection Activity

Last month, the MINISTRY OF LOVE announced its ambitious plan to gather 315 copies of George Orwell's novel 1984, each one to be mailed to an Inner Party Member (a.k.a congressperson) who voted for the Military Commissions Act(a.k.a. the Torture Bill) on September 28th and 29th.

Today we wish to announce that we have attained 15% of our goal. MINILUV now has 46 copies of The Book, sent by proles and party comrades alike, all across our brave homeland. This is a glorious victory for us!

MINLUV had originally planned to mail out the 315 copies all at once with great fanfare, and hopefully, a television news crew on hand to capture the occasion for inclusion in the Ministry of Truth's ever-growing archives.

However, we have recently learned that several dozen of the 315 Inner Party Members in question were recently captured during the Great November Purge and are soon to be vaporized. Therefore, we will send these unpersons their copies of 1984 right away.
