Getting our country back on track

Today is the time for everyone to think about our country, and the direction in which it is headed if we do not get Democrats back in charge of America, our great country.
If Democrats are not in charge, it is headed for destruction, and it will just continue to get worse and worse.
Please go and vote, as it is a very important time and chance for us to get things back in order as it has been in the past.
No one is perfect, but this is a chance to get things closer to that on November 7, 2007.
Thank you for allowing me to voice my opinion in this manner.
Sincerely,

Well said, Bonnie!

Thank you, bonyelle, for saying it so well!

And in thinking about our Country

I was just thinking right now, that we, as Americans, owe a debt of gratitude to Cindy Sheehan. She is the Rosa Parks of the progressive movement to preserve American democracy in our generation... it was her camping out on Bush's turf in Crawford that forced the media and the American public to confront the real cost of the Iraq War... and to see just how little character Bush exhibited in dealing with a Goldstar mother who paid the highest price for his crony boondoggle. Her tenacity at that time proved to be the turning point when Americans started taking the magnetic ribbons off their cars and gave serious thought about what it really meant to aggress a war on false premises and to flippantly post "support our troops" without skin in the game, when military families are under perpetual stop/loss orders.

Notwithstanding the impact of the hard work of the progressive bloggers, and the Downing Street Hearings (honorable mention to hero John Conyers), I think historically, we will look back and see Camp Sheehan as the moment the tide turned.

Thank You Cindy!!
