Stand by Our Man
I think the DNC made a big mistake after 2000 (no kidding) First of all they turnd their backs on Gore. Gore afterall won the popular vote yet the DNC did not want him to run again. They wanted somebody more "likeable" - somebody people would want to have "a beer with" -- somebody more like Bush -- let's face it - the DNC buckled. Then they gave Bush all the room he wanted and let him really screw up before they voiced any protest at all... What I think we should do is STAND BY KERRY until 2008. Make him our spokesperson. Let him be the one on CNN when someone needs to speak out for us against the Administration. Then in two years get him ready to run again. If we don't run Kerry again it will be like telling the other 51% of the country ... "OK, you were right, Kerry was not the right one for the job". We need to be more like Republicans and stand by our candidate. They stood by theirs even though he can't win a debate much less a war on terrorism! Let's show we can stand by our principles too - that we can be stubborn and not give an inch...Let's chant Kerry Kerry Kerry for four da_ _ years and pray he will run again. Let's stick by what we fought for these past years and not give up this time. ... and not give an inch. If that fails I like that guy's idea of the "popular front"...I could go for that too if necessary. We need to take our country back.

hmmm.
"Let's chant Kerry Kerry Kerry for four da_ _ years and pray he will run again. Let's stick by what we fought for these past years and not give up this time. .."
Well, first of all you sure as heck don't realize that there is nothing standing between Hillary and the 2008 nomination now. Secondly, you don't really understand that no Democrats really LIKE Kerry. Well, maybe you did. That's respectable. However, if Tuna Salad was George W. Bush's opponent, Tuna Salad would have still gotten at least 45 % of the vote from Bush-haters. There aren't many people who like Kerry, just a lot of people who hate Bush and don't care who else is running. I wouldn't be surprised to see Hillary vs. Pataki or Guliani. Kerry won't run again. The only candidate that garnered more votes the second time around that I can remember is Nixon. Dems are in for a rough 4 years.
