Impeach bush and cheney, since you are a very short term...
member and an independent to boot, there is a possibility under certain circumstances that president Pelosi is a situation that could come to pass.
Who would you prefer since you are not happy with Democrat Pelosi?
I doubt that we will capture enough seats in both the House and the Senate to be able to bring criminals Bush and Cheney to impeachment, what other options do you see?
Oh yeah, who did you, as an independent, vote for in 2000 and 2004? Being from Florida, you do understand that it was your state that gave us Bush/Cheney in the first place...and is still a state that cannot hold a fair and honest election.

The middle
The Dems need people that voted for Bush to switch sides. If they don't the Dems have no chance of winning back Congress. Look at the areas that is up for grabs. Indiana, Kentucky and Montana! Without those voters, the Dems will always be under the GOP thumbs! So, no name calling or you just end up looking like Left Wing Nuts. Speaker Nanci!!!! If the Dems go for impeachment, they better have overwhelming evidence, or I already see a GOP victory in 08. I have a some GOP friends and they are hoping if the Dems take over, they go after impeachment quick. They say it will show the american people who the dems are truely are, and will give them back the congress in 2008, and of course the White House too.
The party of Jefferson?
How do you think the remedy of impeachment wound up in the Constitution?
Does the 'middle' hate the Constitution or just the patriots who wrote it? You 'middle of the roaders' are really sounding radical right now. Maybe it's because you and your republican friends are the fringe...

the left lost us both houses, the right voted republican,as did the middle. wake up the middle is where most of us stand.the new democrates won from the middle not the right or the left.
Actually, we lost the House when
the New Democrats moved into town. That was back in '94, I believe. We haven't had majority in the House since. That is, until NOW when the PROGRESSIVES helped HOWARD DEAN get democrats elected to office.
Those same PROGRESSIVES worked their butts off to get majority in the Senate and you can bet your sweet bippy that it's going to be PROGRESSIVES that those legislators listen to, and not some group of republicans going through some identity crisis.
Otherwise, PROGRESSIVES will and Netroots will work their butts off to replace them with candidates who have figured out - duh - that taxpayers have money too and that we're sick of wet finger politicians.

Chief, I really had to laugh when you make the statement...
"Look at the area that is up for grabs. Indiana, Kentucky, and Montana." Without those voters, the Dems will always be under the GOP thumbs."
Indiana: 6,000,000(approx)
Kentucky: 4,000,000(approx)
Montana: 804,000(approx)
Total: 11,000,000
You are aware are you not, that the City of Los Angeles has approximately 13,000,000 people?
If we suddenly consider California as a state, then there are between 32,000,000 and 36,000,000. These are the people who hold real power....
Montana wouldn't have paved roads if it were not for the welfare money the state gets from California taxes.
Kentucky and Tennessee might well still be using candles and lanterns in rural areas if it were not for the welfare money the state receives from California taxes.
Does this not put things into a more realistic perspective for you?

Don't get anrgy because
Don't get anrgy because California has not mattered in a Campaign in how long? You might not like it, but the Dems need to win voters in these states. Comments like yours will never help. I was going to make some comments about California, since I lived their for 7 years, but I am bigger than that. You sound like a Liberal Eliteist. Playing into the GOP hands, and I am not a repubilican. Remember Carter Georgia, Clinton Arkansas. Gore the #1 vote on this Website, Tennessee. I am sure his family is greatful for those paved roads and electricity. We will always matter with the Electroal College and that will never change!
OK Chief, we've been around the circuit with you...
who and what party will get your votes in Tennessee?
You didn't like California...lots of natives there like the place just fine. Those that don't like it should stay home.

Get votes HOW?
That is the nub of all this.
On all matters beyond simple opinion, Democrats need to focus on raising this civilization up, not pandering.
---
Conservative folks have let this Nation down by not remaining vigilant, and by swallowing propaganda about American Liberalism. Those same voters need to OWN this.
Straw man cries of "Liberal Elitism" are just that. It comes from the "abusive spouse" using language against his victim that applies fully to HIMSELF.
Criticism cuts both ways. We've had the decades of Right Wing talk radio screaming "FUCK YOU" to those who do not toe the same religious line as the Right (literal "FUCK YOUs" mind you), the shouts of "THE HOMELESS ARE BUMS!", etc. Maybe Red America could give just a moments thought to, for example, the fact that in cities where most American's live and undergo THOUSANDS of times more human/human interactions, hand gun laws must be robust. I am not asking for agreement. Maybe too, now that all oxen are being gored with outsourcing and massive debt, a nod can be given to Democrats who defended other disenfranchised workers in the past? Again, I am not asking for agreement, only respect enough to see Rush, O'Reilly, etc as puppet masters to get Americans of different dispositions into arguments as our pockets are picked and our Liberties curtailed.
I have mentioned before that when I saw that "tie" between Bush and Gore I wanted certain hot button issues put on hold -to bring our Nation some rest. (This if Gore was declared the winner). Instead, at every conceivable turn Conservatives attacked like mad everything and everybody I love.
Ridicule has its place.
Democrats serve conservative as well as liberal folks on all the bread and butter issues.

Someone here posted a link to the freerepublic site. I spent some time writing something to post there that I doubt will make it through their censors:
Letter to a social conservative republican,
There are a lot more of us than there are of you. So many in fact, that you couldn't steal this election like you did in 2000, 2002 and 2004. The American People are waking up to the slime that has taken over the Republican party. Wake up! Admit that you have been wrong because your President has over-reached his office, grabbing power and shredding the Constitution in the process.
Hey you got your $300 tax rebate in the mail. What do you care?
Oh, just now realizing that absolute power corrupts absolutely? Oh, that powerful republicans like Ken Mehlman, Mark Foley and probably Karl Rove are closeted (i.e. repressed and sick) homosexuals? Just now realizing that the elite that run this country laugh at the little people like you and me? That our Veterans Administration is chronically UNDERFUNDED by the formerly Republican controlled Congress.
It's time that we realize that we've been lied to and that this war in Iraq is not about getting even for 9/11; it's about OIL.
The only way out of Iraq is admitting that we were mislead into war by a group of CRIMINALS. Impeaching Bush/Cheney is the only way to get this country back on track and for us to have an honorable exit from Iraq.
But what do you care? What if a Democrat is elected President in 2008 and we're still at war and the President still has the ability to ignore any law as they see fit? Are you ready to go to prison and be tortured and not have your day in court because Bush signed the Military Commissions Act that abolishes Habeus Corpus?
At least be intellectually honestand listen to the dissenting views presented by people like Keith Olberman or Thom Hartmann (you could learn some history about TRUE patriotism - http://www.thomhartmann.com ).
There's only a pitifully small number of you that remain ignorant of the fraud that has been perpetrated on the American people.
Just say no to the rise of American Fascism. Protect the Constitution. Impeach the criminal Bush administration. And if Pelosi won't do it, We the People will "impeach" her too.

South=Slavery
While we're conjuring up images of what the South means to us, perhaps you'd like to remember that one, since it's the Southern Democrats who kiss republican butt like there's no tomorrow and there isn't anything a republican loves more than slave labor - unless, of course, it's corporate welfare.
Perhaps the South should do something to shed that ugly image and come back to us later with ideas on how we somehow NEED their votes to elect a president. I mean, really, if their votes are crucial, what ARE we getting, anyway? Sounds like a crap shoot to me.

the South lost. No one here is asking you to disown your family history. My comment was aimed at today's South. The majority of Southerners keep electing people who vote with the republicans when it comes to issues like Affirmative Action and 'illegal immigration.' When the South (*Note* I didn't say YOU) stops voting the sort of politicians into office who love slave labor and corporate welfare, I'll stop bashing the South. If that is your take then we are only talking about strategy and are otherwise in agreement. Our Nation needs repairs and I fully support concurrent efforts to do all that is required of us.
My greatest concern continues to be that the vast majority, who should form a voting block on bread and butter issues, are too easily broken up over that which we may never agree on.
I am now waiting for Republicans to make an issue over whose pro sports team is the best!

impeachment
sorry, but I'd love to do too that, but under what law would this be done, just because they're both closer to people in the world's past histroy.there is no law in our constition that would make this even possible. One last point don't be sure that Ms. Pelosi will up as speaker
P.S. don't forget it take two thirds in the committe for this to even be brought to the to the full house members
(POST ELECTION UPDATE) Arguments Against Bush Impeachment...
• If we impeach Bush, we’ll get President Cheney!
Initiating the impeachment process would lead to an investigation that would implicate lots of people in the Bush administration who are guilty of committing crimes, including Cheney.
In addition, no matter who we get to replace Bush, we’ll be showing those in power that anyone who breaks the law will be held accountable.
• Promoting impeachment will seem too “extreme.”
Demanding that crimes be investigated is NOT extreme. Some previous impeachment attempts were considered extreme because they were pursued for things that didn't rise to the level of a Constitutional crisis (Which is what the Impeachment tool is meant to be used for). Nixon's impeachment, however, was bipartisan.
• We should wait to impeach...
Wait to impeach? We've waited 3 or more years too long already. We had enough evidence to impeach years ago. Remember, an impeachment only means you have enough evidence to warrant a trial. Just like an indictment. Our congress people didn't take an oath to bipartisanship. They took an oath to the Constitution. Not to mention our troops, Iraqi civilians, and our own civil liberties are all waiting for this.
• Before we impeach, we should get some legislation passed...
And with unconstitutional Presidential Signing Statements, veto power, and the power of Comander in Chief at his disposal, how do you think Congress is going to get ANYTHING accomplished without first impeaching Bush?
If your tire blows while you're driving, do you stop to fix it? Or do you continue driving on your rim because to stop would take too much time.
• It hurts the democracy to go through a presidential impeachment. And Bush is a lame duck anyway.
Holding government officials accountable for their actions strengthens our democracy. Letting lawlessness stand weakens it.
Sometimes reprimanding a child (President) doesn't make the family (Washington) a happy place. But you still have to do it so the child and his siblings (future presidents) learn about accountability. Impeachment is horribly UNDERUSED. Which is part of why there's so much corruption at the top. They must learn to fear it. People think things are better because we improved the make-up of our law-making body (Congress). But the whole point is that Bush is BREAKING LAWS. So, it doesn't matter how many laws Congress passes if they don't serve ther OVERSIGHT duty (they swore to defend the Constitution) by impeaching. What are laws without enforcement? Remember this, it is those who believe themselves guilty that proclame oversight as being partisan activity.
Not to mention, Bush can still do a lot of damage to our troops, Iran, our Supreme Court, and the precedent his remaining in office will do to the presidency. Waiting until Bush is out of office, will also leave us complicit in any further crimes Bush commits. The Union of Concerned Scientists has estimated that the death toll from a "tactical" nuclear weapon of the kind Bush is contemplating using in Iran would be at minimum 3 million men, women, and children. The path of death would stretch across country boundaries into India.
• I'm a Democrat/Republican. If we support impeachment it will lower the chances of my party winning in 2008.
So, your party would rather win elections than do what's right for the country? I hope you're wrong. I also hope the public is willing to throw additional support to any party that holds our elected officials accountable for their actions.
• Impeachment will never happen. The Republicans will block it.
Well, all we need is a majority of support in the House. And 2/3rds vote in the Senate to remove Bush from office will happen once the evidence gets aired on CSPAN. The political pressure will become too great.
Today's impossibility is tomorrow's reality. Republican Congress members will realize that tying their political future to Bush reduces their chances of getting elected. Remember, one way or another, Bush is gone by 2009— but members of Congress may retain their offices beyond that date. Bush's poll numbers are extremely low, and most Americans support impeachment. This is a bipartisan movement. This means that if we make the pressure unbearable for Members of Congress, they'll turn on him to keep their own seats (like they did with Nixon). It's already starting to happen. While many Members of Congress have behaved unethically in the last few years, it's important to understand that this is related to their warped view of what's in their self-interest. Let's wake them up to their true self-interest (impeaching the president), by showing them our support for impeachment.
And even if we only impeach, and the Senate fails to do their duty and remove him from office. It will only implicate the Senators who fail to do their sworn Constitutional duty.
• But Speaker of the House Pelosi said that Impeachment was "off the table."
Pelosi most likely said this to remove any appearance of conflict-of-interest that would arise if she were thrust into the presidency as a result of the coming impeachment. What we need to do is to pressure Pelosi not to interfere with impeachment maneuverings within her party. Sending her Do-It-Yourself impeachments legitimizes her when she joins the impeachment movement in the future.
• But the public doesn't support impeachment.
Newsalert: Newsweek's recent poll shows 51% support for Impeachment. Not to mention that support for Bush's impeachment is more than it was before Nixon's investigation.
• You're just angry at what happened to Clinton
Impeachment is a nonpartisan issue. It's not about Clinton, Lincoln, or any other president. Some previous impeachment attempts were considered a waste of time because they were pursued for things that didn't rise to the level of a Constitutional crisis (Which is what the Impeachment tool is meant to be used for). The argument that we can't impeach Bush because there are previous presidents who also did bad things is the same as the argument you might hear from your child that you shouldn't punish him because the neighbor's kid did the same thing and didn't get punished. We don't want a presidential rush to the lowest common denominator. We have a duty to hold THIS president to the Constitution.
• If we don't support our president, we aid the terrorists.
We support terrorism when we fail to deal with its root causes (poverty, lack of education, support of dictatorships, etc.). We also support it by enabling a president who creates breeding grounds for terrorists — like Iraq has now become, thanks to our invasion and occupation.
Middle Eastern countries are upset with the oppressive international policies of the past and current administration. We might develop more healthy relationships with these countries if we appeared to learn from our mistakes by impeaching a president who has been so instrumental in that oppression.
• Impeachment is the wrong approach. Our government is tyrannical, and needs to be overthrown through a popular revolution.
What makes you think that if our government fell today, the American population would replace it with something better? Revolutions are bloody business, and there’s absolutely no guarantee that even with the best of intentions the resulting new government would be an improvement over the current one. Indeed, it could be much worse. This is because revolution only makes sense once the people understand the problem. Thanks to a complicit media, most people don't have the information they need to fully understand what’s currently happening in America, so before we can create positive change, we must help them to understand the situation we're in. We don't do that by pushing them away with what appears to be extremism. We must use skillful means to reveal the tyranny of this administration (and government in general). We can do this by making reasonable demands (for instance, that suspicious activities become subject to investigation). Each time we're denied, more and more people will see the injustice (especially when we take to the streets each time!). Slowly we’ll get enough people on board to create the changes we need, whether our goal is gradual repair of the system or revolution. But either way, the path is the same: First, we try to change the system. When the system shows itself to be tyrannical and unwilling to change, the people will move closer to revolution. If instead, the system allows the demanded changes, then we’ve won a victory — and maybe the theory that the system is hopelessly tyrannical is flawed. The real point is that political change is a process, and we need to have the resolve to see it through. Demanding immediate perfection is unrealistic and counterproductive, and too easily turns into a cop-out for failing to do the hard work of creating meaningful change.

Impeach Bush and Cheney On What Grounds?
Impeachment will just be another huge expense for the American taxpayers. Remember that the Republicans spent 8 Billion dollars to Impeach Bill Clinton over sex in the oval office(what a serious threat to national security and the American people) It would be better just to work as hard as we can to help Democrats get control of congress to tie the hands of the Republicans and Bush.If the Democrats can defeat the Republican bills before they can go anywhere BUsh will not be able to sign every bill that is put in front of him. Why not just give a monkey a rubber stamp and let it sign all of the bills that are passed, it has the same relevance to me.
First off, the costs were under 100 million to pay for the ...
investigation of Bill Clinton seeking grounds for impeachment. All of that effort and no real reasons for impeachment were found.
It doesn't matter what it costs, a person who has cancer will exhaust whatever resources they have available to beat the disease. Bush and Cheney are such a disease.
Grounds? Pick one from the cornicopia of broken laws, rules, ethics, and so on. Plenty to choose from. If the Congress does not act, then take these two[and their followers and supporters]into private courts.
The most basic charge would have to be that they violated their oath to protect and defendthe Constitution. They have attempted to eviserate the Constitution and ... failing that, are attempting to shred it. By doing so, they have committed treason.
Treason, the last time I looked, is an impeachable defense. The Bushistas have little defense available to save them.

impeachment? WHY?
So that the democratic party can be highjacked by the extreme left of the party, Nancy Pelosi? Come on you guys, most of the democrats I know and respect know that she is quite off the track of the center of the party. What a waste of time to try to impeach when the presidential election is coming fast in 2008...why not focus on that, and getting the RIGHT person in the White House, and not settle for someone as NUTS as Pelosi. Sorry, but she is just too far out there for me, and if most demos are honest, they agree with me. You really can't impeach for going to war, when most of the democrats CURRENTLY holding office VOTED for the war, and had the EXACT same intelligence and AGREED PUBLICALLY with the intelligence i.e. Hilary, Kerry, etc. Lets not look like idiots here...lets look like the more intelligent party and go for the votes of the people of this country that have quality of character...not the "fringe".
Because it's the right thing to do
Do you consider it 'fringe' to do the right thing? Do you consider our forefathers who put impeachment remedy in the Constitution to be 'fringe?' Do you consider following Constitutional law to be 'fringe?'
Am I to believe that it is now 'moderate' to think that doing the right thing is bad?
Finally, are you aware that the 'fringe' in the US right now is the GOP?

the right thing?
I completely agree with the right to impeach. I just don't think that the MAJORITY of Americans want to be dragged thru another display of he said, she said, etc. etc. As for being the "right thing" to do....IF I believed for ONE minute that impeaching this President and putting Pelosi in charge was the RIGHT thing to do I would be on the bandwagon and taking charge. CAN WE PUT someone else in the position of taking over...see it's not so much that I don't believe in impeachment, but given the alternative of Pelosi, I don't see it getting better...just going to the other extreme. PERMANENT CHANGE with INTEGRITY is worth waiting a year or so for, in my opinion. IN the meantime, why expose the rest of America to the shameful lunatics of the Democratic party. Come on, you know that BOTH parties have their nuts. Lets not parade ours into the limelight even more than she already seeks it herself. HER hidden agenda scares the HELL out of me. AND, I am NOT alone on this one, believe me. There are too many fabulous Dems out there that would be incredible as leaders of this nation....Lets not blow the chance to DO THE RIGHT THING by getting one of them elected in '08 by showing our "bad hand" now!
I also get tired of this party yelling the F word constantly..that's just disgusting, and does NOT show integrity...we should all be able to get our points across without sounding uneducated.
Yes. The right thing.
People are dying. If your heart believes that the majority of politicians still recognize right from wrong, more power to you. If your heart still believes that the majority of Americans still recognize right from wrong, more power to you. For the moment, I'm content to believe that when people are dying at the hands of a president who should be impeached, it's the right thing to do to follow Constitutional law and impeach the bastard. If you disagree, fine.
It's still the right thing to do and I don't believe our forefathers were fringe.
btw, if you're worried about the 'f' word, I'm wondering why you're not harping about the VP and the POTUS using it. Hell, the GOP even stalks our pages and covers it up. I'm guessing you'd prefer if democrats actually put the word to deed, like republicans do?

WHO PAYS?
Who pays for the additional debt placed on my family of 5 (and ALL families of five) by Republicans?
Depending on which estimate (all by Conservatives) that additional debt amounts to a hundred thousand to hundred(S) of thousands of dollars.
Nancy (and Liberals in general) would simply reinstate previous taxes on the leisure class.
WHAT WOULD YOU DO?
Will you place it instead on the Middle Class?
----------
Before you moan about spending note that HALF of your income tax goes to the military and interest on the debt. You must then try to find "savings" in the other half. Remember too that anything you cut that decreases the income of the Middle Class (like college loans, etc.) sucks for those who work for a living.
Remember also the extent to which Independents, Libertarians, Conservatives are Welfare Whores themselves.

well said perickson, although i thank miss pelosi might suprise us all,i hope so.
WHO PAYS 2?
I've noticed that battles over the word "centrist" are fruitless.
Talk specifics.
Nancy is LEFT of our party?
Nancy is LEFT of our party? Damn, I figured her for a moderate since she is saying impeachment hearings are off the table. If she were a true lefty then she would have never made such a statement. Just give the new congress time. Let the investigates begin and then it will be so obvious that Bush and Cheney HAVE TO BE impeached! If Nancy is "too far out there" for you then go back and hide in you independent cave.
Could the Republicans and Independents PLEASE get some new talking points! Congress looked at the "same" intelligence - yeah, the same "COOKED" intelligence that was invented by the Bush administration. Do you remember Cheney being at the CIA headquaters? Let the real investigations begin on the links between Iraq and the so-called war on terror - there are NONE! Congress was NOT gonna give permission to head into Iraq so Bush linked Iraq to "War on Terra" - "cooked" intelligence plain and simple. No matter how much fairy dust you sprinkle on that factoid, it will NEVER become true and Bush needs to pay the ultimate price for lying to the American public, Congress and the world.
Nothing is ever Bush's fault - listen to him - it is Clinton's fault all the time. 9/11 - Clinton didn't tell us Al-Qaeda was a threat (wrong), Iraq war - Clinton should have done this but was complacent with Saddam in control (Reagan and HW are completely innocent with regards to Saddam), people stranded during Katrina - Clinton administration was responsible for those levees (and Bush never sent any money for service), North Korea tested a nuclear device - Clinton set the policy for this (ignoring Bush hasn't even addressed North Korea AT ALL in all his years in the White House). Hell, Democrats might as well control everything, we get blamed even when we aren't in control and I guarantee you that our plans will be better for the country than the imcompete plans of the Bush administration.
And for the poster who said we should have let the country continue to spiral out of control so that no one ever votes Republican again???? How much lower do you think we can possibly go? Bush has basically made several Constitutional amendment void. Bush continues to try to write the Constitution too his agenda - inserting religion, discrimination of gays and protecting the flag as our symbol INSTEAD of the Constitution. Bush can define torture, take away an Americans right to an attorney, he can lock you up without any charges, spy on Americans without notice OR reason, launch an illegal war on bogus claims, etc, etc, etc, - how much lower can we go?
"They want the federal government controlling Social Security
like it's some kind of federal program."
- George W. Bush in a debate in St. Charles, Mo., Nov. 2, 2000
Nobody must ever be Impeached!
.
.
.
No matter what they do!!!
NOT EVER!!!!!!!!!
Jim: Could you elaborate on that, just a little? Something we
don't know?
Nancy Pelosi is talking like a politician when she says that,
and one with a short future in front of her. The impeachment of Bush WILL
HAPPEN! Pelosi is, perhaps, trying not to look TOO AMBITIOUS!
I hate scare mongers - smacks of the neocons! Is Pelosi a criminal? Is she inhumane? Is she corrupt to her core? NO ONE in the Democratic party can be compared to Bush and his henchmen. Having Pelosi is not the worst thing that could happen to this country, by a long shot. But Bush must be impeached!
Pelosi? Fringe?
You've got to be kidding. How exactly is Pelosi "nuts"?
She's the one who said "impeachment is off the table" while saying she would "drain the swamp" in the very same breath. Sounds as if she is like most other self-serving politicians.
The "radical middle" wants to take this country back to the ideals enshined in the Constitution and the Declaration of Independents. We fought these royalists/elitists back in 1776 and we'll fight them again. I recommend reading and listening to Thom Hartman. He's a true patriot who doesn't serve up this appeasement crap that is dished out on the TV every night. We refuse to be painted with the "fringe" brush any longer. We're waking up to the DLC's corrupt leadership and DCCC and all other attempts to turn the Democratic Party into Republican-lite.
We will hold those who voted for the war (and those that have "repented" and still are sitting on their hands) responsible and we will vote them out of office. We will get rid of their rigged voting machines first.
See the ad for the DVD "The Ground Truth" on the left hand side here? I watched it tonight plus the extended interviews with soldiers that you have to see (the anti-administration stuff was edited out of the final cut). Watch this movie! And after seeing it, tell us that you are against impeachment of this administration.
impeachment
The huge expense is a necessary expense because we have a president and his cabinet that have been ignoring the laws. Now is the time to step up to the plate and show the American people what real moral values are and what it means to uphold the Constitution of the United States. People need to see that the Bill of Rights actually protect the civil rights of the American people. We won and we must now pick up the gauntlet for our society not only here at home but around the world. The Republicans have been spending billions of dollars to enrich themselves. It is time for the Democratic party to hearken back to a time not unlike that of FDR, and TR to help those in need and protect our rights. The American people don't remember how wonderful it was to actually have a government that was for the people. This government is for corporate America as evidence by the debacle after Hurricane Katrina and Halliburton's monopoly in Iraq. Wouldn't it be nice to have a government that actually works to shore up the rights of the individual rather than spying on innocent Americans because they happen to be of a different ethnic or religious group? I hope we are up to the task. We must act quickly and decisively otherwise we are lost for good.
Welcome, Catherine!
Yes, it's time for decisive action, that's sure. And now, we'll have it! Best, ~Chip :)
Reasons for Impeachment
Hi perickson, It's a vast oversimplification to say that "You really can't impeach for going to war" when there are many more impeachable items. I do support impeachment, and that is the position of Democrats.com as well. Perhaps you would like to familiarize yourself with some of the other reasons for impeachment. ~Chip :)
impeachment
We can impeach for wiretapping without a court order. That is against the law. That is what the legislature should be focusing on among other things.
Start the investigation first.
then have public hearings and air all of the laws that the conservanazi bastards broke or ignored. Bring out all the bribes they took and all the money they handed to their corporate friends. Get it all out in the public. THEN IMPEACH THE ROTTEN BASTARDS.
Let the world know how corrupt the bu$h conservanazi republikans are.
Then, we may see some justice served.
BUCK FUSH !!!
Amen, Doug! And a Tip 'O the Hat...
to Governor Doyle, too!
