If you want to see the real cost of the War in Iraq go to this website:
http://nationalpriorities.org/auxiliary/maps_files/iraqsept06/OH.pdf
Out of $380 billion spent on the war, Ohio's burden has been $13.3 billion dollars. Our state has lost 123 service members to this "noble cause" and 868 have been wounded.
It is time to change the dynamics of our Congress and House of Representatives and get people in there who will question the motivations and fabrications of the current administration.

It's beyond the time of
It's beyond the time of talking statistic's and start using less emotions to express the concerns of a brighter world that we live in.
I have had enough of salt and want more sugar.
you guys are killing me with almost as much as the RNC is doing to themselves....
LOOK at the RNC website .
I feel like the people have been fooled enough ,but you guys are not giving any good answers.
LESS TALK AND MORE ACTION , RIGHT NOW...
billyt, There is a huge difference between this...
private site and the national organizations of the GOP and DNC--both national committees who have virtually unlimited funding.
I understand your pain, but don't see any specific questions that we can easily answer.
At this time, 'all politics are local.' What this means is that it is now up to you and your neighbors to organize in order to insure that the upcoming election is run fairly and honestly--factors missing in three major elections since 2000.
What you see frequently on our boards are the statistics and other information to use in debates with people from the other party--the party presently in power. They must be stopped.
Members of this site have been involved in almost every protest, every demonstration, letter-writing campaigns, email campaigns, and any other way to reach our leadership to attempt to stop the illegal activities of our present totalitarian government.
If you have specific questions, I'm sure that our members can answer them to your satisfaction...or can find the answers.

Bias Media on both sides..
After this last election it makes you wonder if there is a non bias media source. Fox and some network stations are bias on republican issues. Cnn and msnbc, and other local news stations are bias for Democrats. I wonder sometimes if we will ever hear the real news. It is controled soley by the political parties. Many times I have watched both fox and cnn, and I have found their viewpoints very bias. I am sick of politics, and politicians. Someone has got to show me something, I am disenfranchised, and it will take something pretty earth shattering to change my mind. Its a sad day in the USA!!
Of coure there should be bias ;)
The bias should be toward science.
Some issues remain, which require an opinion, but not as many as some folks think.
Just watch some news agencies squirm as they are asked to take the side of our modern civilization -embodied in our science. That is a sad commentary for you.
Fox news is complete silliness. It's not bias, it's nonsense.
Just the facts maam.
Absolutley right Jim. More objectivity less subjectivity. The facts speak for themselves. Most of the time anyways if they are represented.
Even PBS talking heads jumped on the anti science bandwagon.
;)
In particular, during a McLaughlin Group show, every commentator except Eleanor Cliff giggled uncontrollably when Eleanor spoke of what scientists felt on a matter. They then muttered the word "scientists" and rolled their eyes when she tried to break through the giggling and say "but these are scientists saying this". (The quotes are not exact).
And by the way, while I now forget the issue, I remember thinking at the time that this was not some philosophical disagreement like when human life begins yet here they were, yucking it up over silly science...
Really PBS too
Thats a real head shaker Jim. There is a a constituency in this country that revels in there ignorance. I think its more widespread than what a lot of us want to believe. Thanks for the old photo from Dragnet.
Well...
...one of the talking heads that night included Pat Buchanan so that one was a given ;)
The others however should be ashamed of themselves.
