Grassroots efforts here
We have an active grassroots group here in Madison County working for Dan Stover for Congress. We have been working hard since February and now think that we have a shot. We need to keep the heat up on John Shimkus, you know the guy who blames the Dems for not exposing Mark Foley. After all, I am sure that the Dems knew first. Shimkus is a no show for any and all debates since he cannot think on his feet or maybe ever. We are walking our part of the district to get the word out. While the DCCC never forgets my e-mail address for donations, they have not been appearing anywhere in this campaign. Mr. Emanuel doesn't feel thatwe are worthy of any attention. I feel just that way about the DCCC emails now. Does anyone want to help? We have begged about everyone we know to get some " name" politician to visit Dan here for media coverage. The lack of response from any and all is deafening. We still however will continue to work. It's our country and we will fight on.
The forgotten CDs
We have the same situation here in the 48th CD in Orange County, California. We have a great candidate, Steve Young, and Esquire Magazine just endorsed him, stating that the current Republican in the seat is nothing but a knee jerk follower of Bush. A poll shows that the office holder, John Campbell has little name recognition, and hasn't been in the seat long enough to engender much loyalty among voters. But regardless, the DCCC is nowhere to be seen! Steve has a great volunteer organization and even a paid staff, so we also are fighting on!

When did the Democratic Party become exclusive not inclusive? I know that there are limited funds. We are running on begging but the DCCC should at least have the sense to try to support WE, the People, not just we the big elitist political machine. I was a democrat at birth( I have a donkey birthmark on my head and a father whom I worshipped and taught me my politics) and I'll be a Democrat until I die, can the same be said of the whole DCCC?
