Hey....both me and my wife are strong supporters of impeachment....along with supporters of Kucinich, who of course has introduced the articles of impeachment for Chaney in the house. Actually, today I met the local Green candidate, Jerome Pohlen, collecting signatures here in Berwyn, in front of the post office. Especially since there seems to be no republican opposition, it would be good to have someone else just in case Lipinski wins the primary. Actually I kind of like Pohlen and what he stands for.
But regardless, you are not alone here in 3 and I'm sure there are others.

Sorry but to me i use the word retard as a figure of speech
(from a post @ topix)
I have to agree with previous posters - banning a word is rather pathetic, don't you think?(and before anyone asks, yes, I DO have people in my family who have mental disabilities; I just don't go off the deep end over the word "retarded.")
Moderator's Note: Went on to lecture and ramble about his "freedom of speech" to use an offensive word.

I guess your right its your site you can alter it how you want it. i thought that you guys would like a different view point on a controversial issue. dont worry you wont have to cover your ears or my words anymore as i have asked to be removed from this site to pursue a more "open" site
And if you REALLY believe in what you're presently going on and on about (instead of apologizing like a gentlemen) you should use such language in ALL venues.
E.G. The N word around an NFL team.
If not, then perhaps you should give this a little more thought.

Weselking, I agree with you.
It's great to find like-minded people to connect with.
And yes, the majority of the Repubs around here assume
EVERYONE in OC is Republican- not so.
The Democrats are growing in numbers, here.
Just a friendly reminder-- the word
"retard' used as a put down is the equivalent
of the 'N' word in the disabled community.
My son, who is autistic, gave me that example.
not to offend

"Freedom of speech" only
"Freedom of speech" only applies in a public forum, while Democrats.com is a private blog, and members' posts are subject to editing or deletion.
The Democratic members of Democrats.com do not have to put up with your "Independent" opinions in our living rooms, nor on this forum.
See how that works...?
No, it's not a" figure of speech",
anymore than the 'N' word is.
"Outrage" "go off the deep end"?
A bit overly dramatic here with the descriptions,eh?
I was very mild considering the offensiveness of your statement.
Notice I was supportive of your other comments?
That was hardly outrage.
OK
Just because i believe in the Constitution does not mean i ramble
Just fyi, the Constitution
Just fyi, the Constitution does NOT give you the right to spout offensive speech in a private setting.
"Believing" in the Constituion, and understanding what it says, is all too often a subjective exercise.

How is being rude "controversial"?

Jim, He Can't Do That!
The players would pound him into pulp!
Makes one think.
Or should ;)
Its called manners.
Upright male animals use them to avoid physical aggression
Perhaps females use them for gentler reasons.
