Expecting the religious right to stay home in november? Dream on.

The liberal/progressive left has, in recent days, supposed that the religious right would flee from the republican party, in the wake of the Foley scandal. This is wishful thinking that is due, for the most part, in the left not knowing the nature of the hard-core christian conservative community. They are far more pragmatic, when it comes to politics, than you might assume.
Expecting the religious right to stay home on election day, or to flock to a hard-right version of Ralph Nader, is simply naive. These people know that there is no viable alternative to the republicans, when it comes to pushing through a "faith-based" programme, and they're willing to look the other way, when confronted with hypocrisy.
Within 12 hours, James Dobbson, Jerry Falwell, and the rest of the usual suspects had spun the issue of Republican ethical misconduct into an indictment of "liberal permissiveness." Yeah- they're that brazen.
Myself, I spend as much time monitoring the religious right as I can. I would suggest that it is good practice for all concerned to do the same- a good place to start is by listening to their own words, here.

Monitoring the Religous Right...
I would listen to it...however, if I just paid 25-30 dollars for a good plate of Sushi or Sashimi, why would I want to expose myself to something thats bound to make me regurgitate my dinner?? Seriously, I have heard what they are "Preaching" and its nothing like any kind of Christianity I have ever heard about. I just can't imagine their "Christ" coming back, and looking like Schwartezenegger in black leather and shades and doing the "Terminator" thing.

Because: If you spend your days only listening to things you agree with, you're no better than a brainwashed republican who gets all of their information from Fox "news." "Know thine enemy" isn't just a prosaic admonition- it's a phrase to live by.

Keep your friend close, your
enemies closer. The religious-right, with the queen heretic herself, Kathryn Harris, brought Bush to power. I personally believe they are the most dangerous entity in politics today. They have mass numbers, an immovable cause driven by hatred and prejudice and an innerant belief that they, and they alone, have a monopoly on the truth.
I wonder how they would feel if they all knew that Karl Rove's father was a homosexual and that Karl was an agnostic?

There is no way that the religious right is going to stay home. That's not going to happen now or ever.
The Religious Right are like OAKLAND RAIDER FANS...
Despite the Raiders are 4-and O...the fans are still going to the game. (But in this case...heh, to them, AL DAVIS is God!)

Sco_angle, did you watch Olbermann tonight?
He had a scathing report about how the Whitehouse used Evies and they are mad as hell. (play on words intended!)
Rove called them (Evies) quote, "nuts"!
Karma is such a wonderful thing!
Foleygate is now the backburner and FundieGate begins! Pop some popcorn, sit back and enjoy the unraveling....

I actually don't have a TV...however..
I am sure from now on, every Keith Olbermann show will be featured on line at CROOKS AND LIARS dot com. He seems to be gaining a following! I just checked..yep its there, and yep I watched it.
