New Foley Instant Messages; Had Internet Sex While Awaiting House Vote!!!
Former Congressman Mark Foley (R-FL) interrupted a vote on the floor of the House in 2003 to engage in Internet sex with a high school student who had served as a congressional page, according to new Internet instant messages provided to ABC News by former pages.
ABC News now has obtained 52 separate instant message exchanges, which former pages say were sent by Foley, using the screen name Maf54, to two different boys under the age of 18. This message was dated April 2003, at approximately 7 p.m., according to the message time stamp... more below the fold

From what I can tell the official spin from the right is trying to blame the reporter who broke the story for waiting before he broke it since Aug. This is to try and counter the fact that the Repug leadership knew and declined to act.
Then they go into the little tirade about how we need the Republicans to keep us safe. Then they say you can't blame this on our precious Republicans who fostered this Culture of Corruption, or Nancy Pelosi will be speaker.
Even so, I flat out challenge Hannity, Rush, Ingram, O'Reilly, Coulter or any of those right wing poison spewers to go to a neutral forum anywhere and tell us just what on Earth they think Ms. Pelosi could do that would be any bit as low as ignoring or covering up the fact that one among your midst had a "little boy" problem. Or better yet get some real guts and log onto good old Democrats.com How in the hell are you going to sit and tell me that her "moral values" are more to be feared than that? I have recieved email correspondence from her for sometime, and haven't always agreed with her, but I can assure you even here in Kentucky her values are definately closer to mine than Speaker Hastert or the Republican leadership. It appears to me they wanted and tried to cover this up until after the election.
On a seperate note, I really hope that this story with several other tragic stories in the news here lately will finally motivate Americans to take a serious look at ways to combat the ever-increasing epidemic of violence against and preying upon children in today's society. I have said that before and several site-members agreed. How many more of these stories must we see before we realize that there is and has been for the last few years a problem? I cannot say I know the solution, but there are many more intelligent people in this field who are qualified to study this sort of thing. They should be put to work on it now.
Something like that should transcend political parties. I will never be able to say I am the most righteous person around, but the way I see it is if you can't even have enough descency to think children should be spared from things like assault, rape, robbery, and murder, then you aren't even human.

The more and more Republicans try and spin this , the worse it gets . Their party official newstation , FOX has labeled Foley as a Democrat , and their official attack dog Drudge has done everything from blame the Democrats to issue alleged evidence that it is a hoax . The GOP's spin machine has no limits on how low they will go to threaten and smear anyone who stands in the way of their quest for complete control of the US . I cannot for the life of me understand how people willingly listen to their party pundits and believe even part of what they say , but I guess that since they have deep pockets , they can afford to send their spin machine into overdrive . I would hope the people see through the spin and realize the TRUTH , that the alleged party of family values is nothing but a bunch of hypocrites , deviants and theives who want to keep this nation in the stone age and the American people under their right wing mind control . As the party of slogans continues to fool the right wing minions of this nation into thinking they are making them safe , casualties are mounting and America is losing face over the globe . My tax money at work
I love how I get to bust my nuts all day to work for enough money to barely pay my bills, and Foley has enough time during his busy day to cyber with teenagers while he should be doing his job. Does anyone know if he will still be eligible for this pension after this? Because if he is that is a travesty against taxpayers...and no, I'm not a Republican, i just don't like paying taxes because the government pisses away my money paying the salaries of pricks like Foley and all of his cover-up friends.

I am begining to think that the Republican would not take responsibilty for any of their actions. WEST PALM BEACH, Fla. - Disgraced former Rep. Mark Foley (news, bio, voting record) said through his lawyer Tuesday that he was sexually abused by a clergyman as a teenager, but accepts full responsibility for sending salacious computer messages to teenage male pages.
Attorney David Roth said Foley was molested between ages 13 and 15. He declined to identify the clergyman or the church, but Foley is Roman Catholic.
He also acknowledged for the first time that the former congressman is gay, saying the disclosure was part of his client's "recovery."
"Mark Foley wants you to know he is a gay man," Roth told reporters as Republicans struggled with fallout from Foley's resignation.

That kind of denial, in the arena of sex offender treatment, is called "thinking errors".....The "it was the alcohol" and "Oh, well, I was molested, too, you know".....are real classics....easily spotted by just about anyone. His therapist...if he has one worth any merit, as well as any prosecutor, will be all over him for that kind of nonsense.....there are many victims of sexual abuse and many alcoholics who do not molest children.....surely he knows that.
