McCain: My Fellow Prisoners?

Maybe Karl Rove was right in 2000 when he smeared McCain during the South Carolina primary, suggesting McCain lost a marble or two in the Hanoi Hilton...

McCain didn't stumble over words - "prisoner" was the exact word his subconscious wanted to use. Nor did McCain try to correct his mistake; he continued on to the end of the sentence and smiled, proud of the point he made.

Meanwhile the crowd suddenly grew silent, wondering if their hero had lost his mind...

I thought that I would find nothing surprising coming out of McCain's mouth, but this one has left me speechless.

Why in the world didn't he catch it and make some lame joke about it? What could he have been thinking? This is not your ordinary slip of the tongue. I wonder if he always knows where he is? The next step will be for him to go wandering or start to think that he already is the Commander in Chief. Maybe he will punch someone when his people have to tell him that Obama won the election.

When you really think about

When you really think about it, this was a classic Freudian slip. McSame unconsciously admitted that we have ALL been prisoners to the Dubya/Cheney "unitary executive" for the last 8 years.

So while McSame obviously intended to say, "my fellow citizens," the Truth slipped out, and he acknowledged that all Americans, and many foreign citizens, have suffered a loss of civil freedoms under this repressive, neoconservative, Fascist regime.

Seen in that light, for McSame to identify the current state of affairs in this country, with his years as a POW, makes perfect sense.

While we are saying it could never happen here

Thousands of Troops Are Deployed on U.S. Streets Ready to Carry Out "Crowd Control"

By Naomi Wolf, AlterNet. Posted October 8, 2008.

Members of Congress were told they could face martial law if they didn't pass the bailout bill. This will not be the last time.

Background: the First Brigade of the Third Infantry Division, three to four thousand soldiers, has been deployed in the United States as of October 1. Their stated mission is the form of crowd control they practiced in Iraq, subduing "unruly individuals," and the management of a national emergency. I am in Seattle and heard from the brother of one of the soldiers that they are engaged in exercises now. Amy Goodman reported that an Army spokesperson confirmed that they will have access to lethal and non lethal crowd control technologies and tanks.

George Bush struck down Posse Comitatus, thus making it legal for military to patrol the U.S. He has also legally established that in the "War on Terror," the U.S. is at war around the globe and thus the whole world is a battlefield. Thus the U.S. is also a battlefield.

He also led change to the 1807 Insurrection Act to give him far broader powers in the event of a loosely defined "insurrection" or many other "conditions" he has the power to identify. The Constitution allows the suspension of habeas corpus -- habeas corpus prevents us from being seized by the state and held without trial -- in the event of an "insurrection." With his own army force now, his power to call a group of protesters or angry voters "insurgents" staging an "insurrection" is strengthened.

The audacity of these

The audacity of these anti-American, anti-Constitutional, anti-Congress, PNAC crooks never ceases to amaze me.

To threaten a member of the People's Congress with punative action for voting (or not voting) a particular way is nothing less than treason. To actually put such a mechanism in place (deploying troops) is a clear and present danger, and an overt act of inciting a civil war against the American People.

Could the current economic crisis be a planned October surprise that will allow these Fascists to suspend the Constitution, and halt the elections?

Methinks it's time for IMPEACHMENT FOR HIGH CRIMES AND MALFEASANCE.

We need to do it now or as soon as Congress comes back. I think they need an emergency meeting to meet with Warner, Web, Lugar, and Hagel, before they retire or leave and get this moving now. Who has Nancy, Harry, Conyers, and All the poorer repubs and Sanders to Impeach now.
I have an idea, that will give them a message. On every blog board, just put the words IMPEACH NOW!!

The People are Ready for it. Let it go viral globally also. If WE the PEople put in in Caps across the internet board, the MSM will pick it up again and put it to a national vote across the board.

We could say something like. Impeachment vote? America?
across the bloggosphere, until it rings true. We want accountability and the criminals prosecuted. This is the worst kind of treason that OUR forefathers thought of and delt with. It's up to US to set US free, Americans that's who WE be!
