Dear Democrats,

I am outraged that you simply surrendered to the filibuster threats of two conservative Democratic Senators, Joe Lieberman and Ben Nelson.

The overwhelming majority of Americans support a Medicare Buy-In (64%-30%) or a Public Option (56%-38%).

Lieberman himself even supported the Medicare Buy-In - until he realized how popular it is!

Democrats do not have to surrender to Lieberman and Nelson. Instead you can include the Medicare Buy-In and Public Option in your conference report and dare them to conduct a real filibuster.

Real filibusters are not ancient history. In July 2007, Democrats famously rolled out the cots to force Republicans to filibuster a vote on bringing our troops home from Iraq.

We believe both Joe Lieberman and Ben Nelson would be terrified to stand before the American people and say, "I get top-quality government healthcare for free, but I'm not going to let you have it - even if you're willing to pay for it."

So our message to you is simple: No Surrender. Make Them Talk.
