John McCain and Sarah Palin are definitely bringing "change" to American politics. Sadly, it's by campaigning entirely on bald-faced lies.
They lie about themselves: that McCain "fought" Bush's disastrous policies while Palin "fought" the Bridge to Nowhere.
But more importantly, they lie about Barack Obama. Now they're saying he "pals around" with terrorists and "dangerously de-funded" our troops. These new lies follow dozens of older lies about religion, taxes, lipstick, and everything in between.
Do we want American politics reduced to bald-faced lies? Absolutely not.
Isn't there something we can do to end this politics of lies? As Palin herself (or SNL's Tina Fey) likes to say, "Yoo betcha!" And we can have fun too.
Our friends at Agit-Pop.com came up with a perfect description of the McCain-Palin campaign: "Pinocchio Politics." We're working together to get this powerful image to every voter in America through a simple and fun strategy: "McLiar Bingo."
With a little luck, we can stop "Pinocchio Politics" once and for all. To succeed, all we need is you!
First, download your own "McLiar Bingo" boards to have fun keeping track of McCain's lies while you watch the last two debates with your friends. And forward this message to a few friends.
Second, let's form "Pinocchio Posses" and hit the streets this Saturday, October 11 at noon local time. We'll gather at public places where lots of people pass by (supermarkets, post offices, football/soccer games, etc.).
We'll wear home-made "Pinocchio noses" and hand out home-printed "McLiar Bingo" flyers with the lies and the truth. And we'll simply invite people to play "McLiar Bingo" at home during the last McCain-Obama debate on Wednesday, October 15.

McCain's McClaims
I'd been referring to the constant factual inconsistencies and outright lies as McCain’s McClaims. Lately, they’ve been super-sizing, but the game has been pretty much the same from the beginning. Now that they’ve added Pa-liar to the ticket, it’s just fibbing in stereo.
I do find it interesting that Pa-liar is going into the “your religion is bad” trench, though. First, her boss (that’d be McClaim) told the Repub’s not to talk about Obama’s denounced pastor, so she’s gone from maverick to renegade. Then, there’s the video of her getting blessed from witches still on the hot-list on You-Tube. She wants to talk about religion and family. Well, when was the last time McClaim went to church? How does the religious voter feel about his divorcing his crippled wife for a deep pocketed new wife? Has she read the Bible passage about sinners throwing stones, and why does she believe that section doesn’t apply to her?

However even though we are taking folks to the polls that dont have transportation and they all know i'm votin for Obama. i am a firm advocate for the 2nd amendment. After listening to the Flordia rally for McSame, i heard what sounded like "kill Obama"! Now i'm a "child of the sixties" and i know what inciten to violence is. Old McSame was dooing his share of inciten! You can smell the fear in the old mans voice. I hope he doesn't get too excited though cause Palin reminds me of one of my exwives. If she was mad and had a knife in her hand, better leave home! That woman is radically crazy. Lastley, Obama needs one of those cars that can "take it", like the one the ex president of one of the soviet breakaway republics had! They tried to kill that man with everything from IUD's to armour piercing rounds and he still made it! Well, 27 days and counting, be careful Barak, and i'd be honored to drive you!

It's time to hold them ALL ACCOUNTABLE. The question is should we give some more independents some seats to balance the stupid DLC who allowed this to happen. Gore would never have let this happen and neither would Obama. But these fools in charge have left Obama and Joe Biden in a $54 TRILLION dollar pile of BUSH IT.
Talk about shit in someones hand. Obama is better than me, cause I wouldn't want to have to clean this financially weak country. I'll work and fight with my vote to change the landscape but this is soooo screwed up.
Obama and Joe must immediately release a government Apollo Green TECH Initiative to get the country moving in the right direction, as well as create 5 million jobs.
He must immediately sequester out the budget a stimulus that is in three or four quarter incriments and take the cap off social security.
Look out America, WE the people are in for a bumpy ride for the next two years, so let's work on getting our troops back home for some rest and to recoup some of our money. The Jobs Stimulus Initiative, should also enable our skilled servicemen employment and training pay for the less fortunate and under educated manufacturing jobs. This whole country has to be rewired, so let's turn on and turn out the extra lights to save.
I'd invest in candles and those steam electric heaters to save some resemblance of balance on the books. Better to have one bill than multiples at this time.

McCain/Palin have sunk to new lows with the lies and deceitful "campaigning". They are so desparate for a win that they will use any smear tactic or lie they can invent. Does not the Bible state clearly "he who is without sin cast the first stone". This ticket is only proving how totally desparate they are. Palin is being investigated in Alaska. McCain picked her after meeting her once or twice. They contradict each other regularly--they are not even on the same page. All they do is spin the truth, smear lies and offer NO plan. Palin proves her incompetance by not being able to answer a question and using her memorized stump comments instead. Look at her disastrous interviews with Katie Couric and Charlie Gibson and her refusal to answer questions at the VP debate. Their body language also reflects dishonesty.McCain promised to run a clean campaign--liar liar pants on fire!
How to Maitain the Moral High Ground in a Nasty Campaign
Barak Obama and his supporters hold the moral high ground in this campaign. Barak’s legislative record proves it. The way he raises money confirms it.
How do we, his supporters, maintain high standards when our opponents lie and bend the truth to misrepresent Barak’s actions?
We must remain intelligent, factual, and clean. If our replies hit below the belt, or carry a nasty tone, we invite our opponents to criticize our campaign on the same grounds we judge theirs. This does not serve our goal. It doesn’t win votes for Obama or other Democrats.
When an initiative of ours boasts toughness, or calls McCain a name we wouldn’t want pinned on Barak or on ourselves, don’t back it. I believe the Pinocchio initiative is a bit over the line. While it presents no unfounded claims, it is mean-spirited. It invites the criticism, “Both campaigns say mean things about each other.”
How do we retain the moral high ground in a nasty campaign? We have to examine the tone of our statements. Let our campaign go down in history as exemplary, Gandhian, different.
Isn’t that why we support Barak?
Perceived "morality" does
Perceived morality does not preclude The Truth. The current crop of criminals in the White House, and John McCain, are indeed proven liars, and MUST be held accountable.
Their anti-American disregard for the US Constitution, and their corporate croynism in "legally" stealing from the People's treasury is beneath contempt.
Turning the other cheek, in this period of unequaled corruption and neoconservative fascism, will only result in severe head trauma for the American People.
The "nasty" tone of The Truth is intended to hurt, and to punish if possible. The American Revolution took exposing The Truth to lethal extremes, and the current threat to our representative form of government is no less urgent. The great difference between then, and now, is that elections have replaced guns, and it is not treasonous to speak The Truth. The entire American system of laws and justice, is based on confronting lies with The Truth.
Ghandi opposed physical violence, but had no qualms about civil disobedience, or confronting lies with The Truth. Let's not confuse morality with accomodation, or a relaxation of principle. Sometimes a forcefully-presented approach to The Truth is necessary, even if it offends the faint-hearted. This is one of those times.
Moral "high road?" It would be immoral to allow these crooks and liars to go unanswered, or unchallenged. When the schoolyard bully attacks you, it is immoral NOT to fight back -- at least verbally.

McSame a "blank",
I’ve tried to think of one thing that McSame has said or done in the last 20 years that has been constructive for the American people and I came up with a “blank” I’m still trying to figure out why he picked Sarah, who has brought about as much to his campaign as fly paper in the middle of winter. But, I will say she has live up to her nickname as a mad pit bull and if it weren’t for her, “Saturday Night Live wouldn’t have much on their Show”.
Diehard Republicans who think, “Swift boating” which may have worked in the past, and an old man in his “second childhood” would think it is helping his campaign, the News media has also been coning him into this to sell Ads, but for the American people they just see it as a childish thing that we are accustomed to and see it as green grass Bulls**t.
We have wasted millions of Dollars and have the longest presidential campaign in our history, and we will get a President that we have no idea how he will lead, he will have the worse Senate and Congress in our history to work with, both candidates have very close ties to Wall Street, and if the next President can’t show the people that he has cut his ties with Wall Street, he will have a uprising of giant portion to deal with!
When people start to starve and become idle they will get “mean”, because the people have been back handed too many times by our Senate and Congress to put up with any more crap!

The signs of the last protest were cool but not enough people showed. 1 or 2 days notice and at 5:00PMin Atlanta is not the best time unless you have 20,000 people and can stop traffic! This is a Democratic site yet I see our opponents names way more often than I see anything about our goal.. Obama-Biden. Focusing on the negative attracts more negative. Railing against our opponents does nothing for us, but gives our energy to a worthless cause. Yes we need to correct injustices but donning the face of your lying opponents doesn't do that. I feel we would be better off focusing on what is going to save our future. Obama stands for A Change that means Truth, Integrity, Innovation, Inspiration, Progressiveness, Moving the People Ahead. Let's help them stay on that path.

Your "centrist," high-road, approach is why we are, where we are today. If our do-nothing Congress had the guts to make these criminals accountable for their crimes, and begin inpeachment proceedings, we would have little need for truthful "negativity."
If you will notice, this site is a sounding board for real Democrats, and we rail against the DLC "Bush-Democrats," as much as we do against the Republican neoconservatives. They are equally responsible for the current sad state of affairs in this country.
Obama, and his campaign have not resorted to near as much negativity as the McCain camp: that's a job for we grassroots Democrats. Calling these crooks and liars out, and holding them responsible, is the only way to get at The Truth. When we counter the neoconservatives, and their attempts to undermine our Constitution, it is NOT negativity, but The Truth.

Freedom of speech in the blogs is very enjoyable, you don't have to read them. I'm not sad sack myself, but don't become a part of the problem. Americans need to voice from all sides. They McFailin certainly don't care about inciting violence in their rallies, so a little anger is nada.

Obama Energy and Social Security Suggestions
What about these suggestions:
1. ENERGY!! 7/10's of the earth's surface is covered by water. God (for those right wing believer's)has given us the answer and it isn't oil, which they worship by following the Repug'. Use Solar and wind power (maybe on all those new offshore rigs) to create hydrogen gas, which would turn into vapor and help renew the atmosphere.What would that do for the North and South poles? I've read where Hydrogen gas can be used in a Mazda rotary engine NOW. I saw a scientist in Japan on NBC news who developed a small Hydrogen engine that sat behind the driver's seat and they poured in water and it ran. Just imagine what American Green technology could do with that? Never give it to the oil cartel! Export the technology to China to replace the stupid term clean coal. Part of Africa's problems stems from fighting over water. Lake Victoria is drying up.Export American technology to all countries in the world and kill the oil cartel, which is destroying the economy and the earth's atmosphere.
2.Social Security: Lower SS payments from 6.85% to a flat tax on all income (capital gains, dividends, earned income on the wealthy, etc.) PATRIOTIC!! Maybe 1.5 to 2% and restore the SS fund. Democrats could help small business owners by allowing matching the 1.5 to 2% for their employess and show small business how to help hire more employess and stop the Repugs and Chamber of Commerce from lying about being on their side. Small businesess need more customers not more tax breaks that go to the big corporations. What a tremendous lie they tell the small business owners constantly. Because of the cost of everything going up, change the guidelines on the amount of income a SS person can make and eliminate people like John McCain from collecting SS, if they make more than (say) $100,000 from all other income. These poeple have already reaped their rewards from the American Dream. Someone trustworthy economist could do the math on all income and come up with a very fair and reasonable figure for all Americans now and in the future to receive SS. Also, when SS goes into some retirement communities, it is the lifeblood for small businesses in that area. Perhaps, set up a reduced payment if you take your payment/money outside the US. Maybe use the REPUG "PATRIOTIC" motto to keep the money circulating here in America. Change the IRS tax laws about a spouse's income to reflect the current cost of living. I.E. the spouse can earn up to $50,000 or $75,000 before the SS is taxed. I'm sure we can move in a new direction to protect American's from the greed of the Repugs just like FDR did in the 30's.

What it will take to get people to stop taking their money out and the answer is as plain as the pinnochio noses on this page.
