Peace March & Rally in Nevada CountySunday from 1 to 5 p.m. starting at the Broad Street overpass, proceeding up and down Broad Street, Nevada City, and continuing on to a Peace Rally at Pioneer Park. This is a Call to Action for Nevada County to join hundreds of rallies in cities worldwide to demand an end to the Iraq War. We mark this anniversary by calling for peace, now and in our future, for the good of all rather than the profit of a few. Nevada County still says No to War! We invite all people who would prefer to live in peace to join us. We will be standing together in community to raise our voices and make our wishes obvious. We will end up in Pioneer "Peace" Park for music, food, and socializing. Everyone is encouraged to bring chairs and blankets to Pioneer Park before the event. |
