Hey Newt, Here's Some Honesty For Ya

Newt Gingrich has a radical idea:

We need to be honest about the level of failure for the past eight years and why Republican government didn’t succeed. Otherwise, we’ll get back in power again and do the same things again.

Duh.

If Republicans want to be honest about the past eight years, they need to admit:

• George Bush and Dick Cheney stole the White House
• They had no mandate for their rightwing agenda
• Their tax cuts for the rich created a fiscal disaster from which we may never recover
• Bush contemptuously dismissed those who tried to warn him about 9/11
• Bush let Osama Bin Laden escape from Afghanistan
• Bush failed to "finish the job" in Afghanistan by illegally diverting money to prepare to invade Iraq
• The invasion of Iraq was the biggest foreign policy disaster in American history
• Bush's deregulation of the financial industry was the biggest economic disaster in American history
• Bush's crony capitalism will cost American taxpayers trillions
• Bush's regime of torture turned the world against the United States

So Newt, how many of these facts will you admit?
