Here's the voting record.

Damn those bastards!
Glory be, Landrieu and the two Nelsons voted for the HC bill...
as well as a surprising number of Republicans--essentially the good ones.
No surprises with Lieberman. He should be barred from any Senate Dem committees. What difference does it make==he votes with them almost all the time anyway.

Lieberman is a Republican lite.
Yes Grinch, no surprise there at all.
I don't understand how anyone who believes in
democracy can be opposed to habeas corpus.
It's a Sign...
It's confirmation that a significant portion of Congress has transformed into a fascist mindset. It is an indefensible mutation of authentic American principles. But the import of that goes unrecognized because it is wrapped up in partisan rather than Constitutional language.
How embarrassing it was as an American to even have to the call the Congress critters with the seemingly surrealistic demand for the restoration of habeaus corpus.
That American senators could vote to keep persons imprisoned without hope for judicial hearing is an attack on the very bedrock of our national values. That the fact eludes them is stark testimony to their own sellout to corporatism, drunk with self-importance and bankrupt of principles.
Contrast their action with the republican philosophy:
Acting oblivious to political theory let alone their personal oath to support and defend the Constitution, they blithely band together in self-righteous arrogance to suspend basic human rights.
That they could vote to retain the suspension of habeas corpus is so incredible, I May Have Gone Insane.
Now, if they could only
Now, if they could only reverse this process for our Congress Critters...

LOL !

Lieberman has to go
Lieberman keeps voting with Republicans on every Democratic supported bill. He bribed them saying he would support the Republicans if he didn't get his chairmanship. Well he has not kept that promise and is voting with them. He votes against his oath of office and is not even a representative of a democratic country. Habeas Corpus is a right since the Magna Carter and the backbone of our democracy and freedoms. Reid should remove Lieberman from his position as chairman (give it to a real Democrat). Lieberman lied to his constituents about his goals to represent them in Congress. If ethics are a goal of the Democratic Party Lieberman should not be rewarded with a chair (regardless of years in power). He has abused his power given to him by the people of his state.
