Fox Boycott - Brita
Brita seems to have vanished from the list of Fox news advertisers that we were advised to contact. I wrote to them on their customer support website saying I would switch to PURE if they did not desist. I never got a response which isn't surprising. However, I see them neither in the list of retractors nor supporters of Fox. What gives?

Glenn Beck Boycott Cuts Ad Revenues in Half
Big news - the boycott of Glenn Beck advertisers has cut show revenues in half!
During the last week in July, Beck’s show pulled in over $1 million from advertising. The first week in September, that number was down to less than $500,000, even as his ratings have gone up.
It’s clear that our campaign is making a significant financial impact, despite Fox’s insistence otherwise.
What’s happening is a simple matter of supply and demand. Fox has a limited amount of time devoted to ads each day. If 62 companies refuse to run ads during Beck’s show, the demand for that time is reduced, and the rates the network can charge for the show plummet. In Beck’s case, almost no major companies are willing to advertise during either of his twice-a-day broadcasts, so Fox can’t collect as much ad revenue as they could before. If we can keep the advertisers away, Fox will have to decide sometime soon whether it’s worth losing money to keep Beck’s poison on the air.
Let's keep the pressure on FOX advertisers by signing this petition:

Rightwing Conspiracy Theories
Glenn Beck forced Van Jones to resign as the unofficial "green jobs czar" because Jones lent his name to a "911 Truth" petition. Key members of the White House Press Corpse decided that asking any questions about 911 made Jones an advocate of an outrageous "conspiracy theory" and immediately disqualified him from any position in politics.
Of course Glenn Beck spends four hours every day on TV and radio not just carelessly lending his name to petitions with questions, but manufacturing and relentlessly promoting completely baseless conspiracy theories.

Fox News Boycott Update
The Glenn Beck advertiser boycott is working brilliantly! The number of advertisers is shrinking and so are the number of paid ad minutes. And the few remaining advertisers are the dregs who don't pay premium prices. Beck's audience ratings are meaningless if they don't bring in any $$$ for Rupert Murdoch. The bottom line: keeping Glenn Beck on the air is costing Murdoch millions!

ColorOfChange.org's James Rucker is doing awesome work! Here's the latest:
Big news today. We’ve confirmed that eight more major advertisers have pulled their support from Glenn Beck’s show — Wal-Mart, Best Buy, CVS, Travelocity, Allergan (maker of Restasis), Ally Bank, Broadview Security, and Re-Bath.
Overall, twenty advertisers have now ended their support of Beck. We’re going to keep the pressure on Beck’s remaining advertisers this week, and we’ll let you know how you can help.

Fox News Boycott Update 8/12/09
Wow!!! The response to our Boycott FOX News Advertisers petition has been huge! We're over 42,000 and counting :)
And the advertisers are listening! When ColorOfChange.org started their campaign against Glenn Beck advertisers a week ago, they quickly persuaded Lawyers.com, Proctor & Gamble, Progressive Insurance, and S.C. Johnson. And in the past few days, these advertisers have also quit Beck: Geico, Mens Warehouse, Sargento Cheese, and State Farm.
