LAW SCHOOL TO ORGANIZE BUSH WAR CRIMES TRIAL

A conference to plan the prosecution of President Bush and other high administration officials for war crimes will be held September 13-14 at the Massachusetts School of Law at Andover.

"This is not intended to be a mere discussion of violations of law that have occurred," said convener Lawrence Velvel, dean and co-founder of the school. "It is, rather, intended to be a planning conference at which plans will be laid and necessary organizational structures set up, to pursue the guilty as long as necessary and, if need be, to the ends of the Earth."

"We must try to hold Bush administration leaders accountable in courts of justice," Velvel said. "And we must insist on appropriate punishments, including, if guilt is found, the hangings visited upon top German and Japanese war-criminals in the 1940s."

"World Peace" Celebration

Friday, September 19, marks the beginning of Year Two for the Iraq Moratorium.

It has been a long year, as the war, the occupation and the killing in Iraq drags on, despite our efforts to bring it to an end.

"It's got to stop! We've got to stop it!" was the phrase we used in launching the Iraq Moratorium a year ago. It rings as true today as it did then. We must keep organizing. We must keep the pressure on, no matter what happens in the November elections, until this bloodshed has ended and all of the troops are home.

Since the Moratorium began a year ago, we've listed more than 1,300 events in 41 states and 256 communities on our website. And those are just the ones we know about. Every month, we hear about others who are taking action on the Third Friday of the month, but haven't listed the events.

Maryland's own Democratic protest singer, Yikes McGee has spent the last 5 years writing anti-Bush, anti-rightwing, political protest songs, and performing them in D.C, at rallies and demonstrations, and building a national radio audience. A standing-room-only January show at Mad City was a great success and lots of fun.  Join Yikes as he begins to finally close the door on the long Bush years.

"World Peace" Celebration

A coalition working to end the war in Iraq announced it is organizing the year’s largest anti-war mobilization. Million Doors for Peace, scheduled for Saturday, Sept. 20, will ask one million Americans to sign petitions urging the next Congress to bring U.S. troops home from Iraq within one year.

The action combines the best of grassroots activism and support from the netroots. The campaign will allow tens of thousands of volunteers to download a neighborhood “walk list” for the coalition website. The volunteers will then use this public information talk to and identify neighbors who oppose the Iraq war and will join the efforts to end the war. Please join this effort, click here.

anymore!" Aside from demanding "enough!", Barack is inspiring and
leading us to BE THE CHANGE WE ARE SEEKING.

Volunteers of all ages are uniting to build an Obama community for
change in Kitsap County. We're mobilizing a wave of grass roots action
to bring victory for ALL Democrats next month.

As part of this grass roots action, we're having two dabate-watching
parties at a best music bar and grill in the region: Moondogs Too in
the picturesque waterfront town of Port Orchard. One is Tuesday, Oct 7;
the other is Wednesday, Oct 15.

All voters, regardless of party, are invited to make for a lively
exchange. But our goal is to persuade, recruit and engage as many
volunteers as we can to be part of the historic Obama-Biden victory.

Join us for the Pinocchio Parade & Protest at the 2nd Presidential Debate at Belmont University, in Nashville, TN 
We are aiming to turn out as many people with Pinocchio noses for this as we can.

We will hold a game of Liar's Bingo outside the debate.  Come play!
