Carl Rising-Moore has asked that we pass along this information.

GW Bush arrived at the Crawford "ranch" on Monday August 13. The duration of his stay is not known, but it is suspected that he is starting his annual summer vacation at that time.

A continued presence near the ranch at the checkpoints is vital.

We feel its our responsibility to continue to stand up with our peaceful protests. Being close to Crawford, we have a unique grassroots opportunity to directly speak truth to power.

If you can spend some time at Camp Casey III, the checkpoint, or in the ditch with Carl, please contact him directly at 317-777-4805.

Transportation will be available from CC III to the checkpoints.

More information may follow on specific actions.

a non-existent national emergency- and destroying our military
readiness, as well as the lives of our young men and women.

I joined the Army in 2003 at the age of seventeen. I believed at the

Finkelstein, son of holocaust survivors and outspoken critic of oppressive Israeli policy in Palestine, has come under attack from detractors like Harvard law professor Alan Dershowitz, who seeks to silence critics of Israel and has successfully interfered in internal DePaul tenure processes.

Two years - since the names Katrina and its effects on the Lower Ninth Ward seared into the world's vocabulary, along with Guantanamo, Abu Ghraib, and Fallujah, as one of the monstrous crimes of the Bush regime.

Two years - since the Bush regime allowed tens of thousands of people - mostly Black - to suffer, starve, dehydrate and die in the unbearable heat, humidity and toxic sludge of a flooded city.

Two years - in which tourist sections and a football stadium have been restored while public housing has been shuttered and surrounded with barbed wire, in which people trying to return to the projects have been evicted by SWAT teams, and the public hospital remains closed, never to reopen.
