PROGRESSIVE MURAL PROJECT aka BURNING THE HOUSE DOWN

Just north of Faribault, Minnesota is a one story, 3200 sq ft building, for years States Tavern and later a four-plex residence, Twin Oaks. This building has been condemned and will be burned on the evening of May 31, 2007.

There are seven of us preparing for the burn. We ask for your help. There are just two days left while the exterior surface is being muralized by artists with meanings of rebirth from fire, expressing social concerns suggesting inclusive diversity vs an exclusive mono=culture; choice; evolution; positivity over negativity; learning from our mistakes; awakening and awareness; creativity and grwoth; and of course........POLITICAL REGIME CHANGE.

Staten Island is home to Vito Fossella, the only staunch pro-war Republican in the NYC Congressional District. But it is also home to many pro-peace New Yorkers who take a stand regularly to say that Vito Fossella is not representing his constituency.

* Almost 700,000 Iraqis have died including 122, 000 children under 5 years old.
* 1.2 million Iraqis are refugees because their communities have been destroyed since the war started.
