Each year, over 100,000 Americans are shot with a gun. That's 282 each day. Over 30,000 of them die.
This includes over 18,000 American kids - 50 each day - nearly 3,000 of whom die.
Gun violence destroys individuals, families, and communities. It also creates enormous costs in medical care, criminal justice, security precautions like metal detectors, and reductions in quality of life because of fear of gun violence. These costs total $100 billion each year.
We must end gun madness by passing common-sense gun safety laws.
