Carl Bernstein Says 'There Ought to Be Hell to Pay'
Sadly, Bernstein spent most of his time trying to deny the allegations, saying Tice's revelations were unclear, and that the NSA is authorized to vacuum up all of our communications. Apparently Bernstein has never heard of the Fourth Amendment or the idea of a Search Warrant. Earth to Carl?
Thankfully, Maddow refused to buy the denials, and got Bernstein to finally admit that if the NSA was really targeting journalists, that would be an "outrage" and "there ought to be hell to pay."
Hey Carl - of course they were targeting journalists and all of their political opponents, including Congress (just ask Jay Rockefeller). And of course those intercepts went directly to Karl Rove. Carl, what rock have you been living under for the past 8 years???

This puts Nixon way below even Little League. He indeed had a wiretap on roughly a handful of journalists he was concerned were leaking or receiving leaked information from his National Security Council. So it would be really stark the difference between what's going on in the Bush Administration and what Nixon did.Too bad Carl Bernstein can't see the "stark" difference.

Yay!!! I finally made the A list!
Not that I wanted to. But I am very proud to be an enemy of the Bush Brigade. So what if I hated Georgie Bush just because he was a cheerleader for everything I don't believe in. Why should the NSA care? I'll tell you what my experience has taught me. The group as a whole are paranoid liars who think any opposition, including political satirists, commentators with almost no influence and silly anarchists, must be watched to see if and when they should be crushed. Bush just didn't have the 'how to' to squash all of us in eight years. Bush did his global damage. I believe if he could, Cheney would've restarted and justified to the American citizens, The Inquisition. They did it in Gitmo, Iraq and Afghanistan. I believe they really wanted to do it here. However the internet ruined his chances. Too many channels, to easy to raise the alarm. "They would've if they could've," as we say online. Unfortunately, I believe they'll be back. Americans usually don't learn from their political mistakes. Collective guilt about slavery and colonialism makes Americans hide their heads from history, both political and social. We must change this country and be ready for the next attack from the right and corporate media.
