Paging Charlie Rangel! Bush Wants to Tax The Rich
On December 7, I proposed a wealth surtax to pay for all past and future costs of the Iraq Occupation - not because I support a wealth surtax, but because I believe it would end the occupation in a nanosecond because wealthy Americans would never be willing to pay for it.
Never could I have imagined that George Bush is also proposing to tax the rich!
Of course, Bush is trying to con Democrats into supporting Social Security privatization - something no Democrat who wants to be re-elected will support.
But if Bush wants to put a tax increase for the rich on the table, why don't Democrats sit down at the table and offer to support his tax increase if it is used to pay for all of the costs of Iraq?

Tax The Rich and Feed The Iraqis
This is Republican Liberalism tax
the citizens and feed the Iraqis. We should try to feed the homeless and the poor in this country.
We could cut corporate welfare and do this five times over. Have we lost our collective minds the Democrats support government where it is needed and by whom it is needed. We should stop the economic slavery of having to work a full time job and go to college full time.
Bush has expanded government like the great Emperor Nero into the lives of all Americans actually confronting private citizens in their homes if they disagree with his policies. We need to cut the size and scope of government big time and increase funding for those who need it.
