$1000 Reward For Getting Bush to Answer Downing Street Minutes

On Friday we asked the members of Democrats.com to support our campaign to demand a Congressional investigation of Bush's Iraq War lies, as exposed by the Downing Street Minutes.

Thanks to the generosity of our members, we raised nearly $1,000 in one day!

We are therefore offering a REWARD OF $1,000 to anyone who can get George W. Bush to answer this question:

In July 2002, did you and your administration "fix" the intelligence and facts about non-existent Iraqi WMD's and ties to terrorism - which were disputed by U.S. intelligence officials - to sell your decision to invade Iraq to Congress, the American people, and the world - as quoted in the Downing Street Minutes?

Here are the rules:

  • If you get a YES or NO answer from George W. Bush to this question, you will win a reward of $1000
  • If you get a substantive answer from Mr. Bush to this question that does not include a clear YES or NO, you will win a reward of $500
  • If you pose the question directly to Mr. Bush in public, and have video proof that he heard the question, and he does not answer the question at all, you will win a reward of $100
  • This contest is open to everyone in the world - a journalist, blogger, politician, adult, or student, either American or not
  • The reward is payable upon uploading the video, audio, or signed letter in as an attachment in a reply to this blog entry
  • To qualify for the reward, you must join this community with your real name and mailing address. (Your login does not have to include your name.) Rewards will be sent to this name and address.
  • The uploaded video, audio, or signed letter becomes the exclusive property of Democrats.com
  • The contest ends after the first confirmed YES/NO answer

Bush Will Never Admit a Mistake

Rove and Company is running this show. George W. Bush will never admit to anything.

Again, the GOP machine is playing the shell game with the American People. That is Rove's specialty.

Until the media starts printing the truth about this administration we will have to sit and wait until this moron is out of the White House and living in Florida.

His life in that mud hole called Crawford was smoke and mirrors from the beginning. Rove and Co. painted the landscape and the people fell for it hook, line and sinker.

Go back to May 2001. Why did George W. Bush give the Taliban 41 million dollars, 4 months later they hit the twin towers. I have asked that question for months and no one has even responded. It was on this website, I think it is worth looking into

As far as the $1000 dollars is concerned save it for the 2006 elections. There isn't a reporter who has the guts to stand up to George Bush, with the exception of Helen Thomas. But, she doesn't need the money.

I am not a conspiracy theorist, but all of the fat cats that George W. Bush sold his soul to is why he invaded Iraq.

He is a lying SOB....Again, what is a senator who doesn't listen to the people....an ex senator......vote, make sure your vote counts.

As far as McCain is concerned, he knows Bush lied, but any man who would allow his wife to be tormented by dirty gossip, if you recall Rove and Company said she was a mental case, that McCain had fathered a black child, etc. and now McCain is so far up Bush's rear end he can't see the light of day. He placed his political career over his own family. Now we have this story about his stay in the Hanoi Hilton, he was no hero, he just didn't want to go back to the front lines.

I used to respect McCain, but I am off of him like a dirty shirt.

So as far as any of these thugs admitting they lied, you can forget it. The hypocrites.....

Yes, the $41 million dollars

Yes, the $41 million dollars bothers me but obviously most people don't care so I don't know what to do about it. Arbusto investor James R. Bath was described by Time magazine in 1991 as "a deal broker whose alleged associations runs from the CIA to a major shareholder and director of the Bank of Credit and Commerse." BCCI was closed down in July 1991 amid charges of multibillion dollar fraud and worldwide news reports that the institution had been involved in covert intelligence work, drug laundering, arms brokering, bribery of government officals and aid to terrorists.

Though Bush told the Wall Street Journal he had "no idea" BCCI was involved in Harken's financial dealings, the network of connections between Bush and BCCI is so extensive that the Journal concluded their investigation of the matter in 1991 by stating: "The number of BCCI-connected people who had dealings with Harken -- all since George W. Bush came on board -- raises the question of whether they mask an effort to cozy up to a presidential son." Or even the president: Bath finally came under investigation by the FBI in 1992 for his Saudi business relationships, accused of funneling Saudi money through Houston in order to influence the foreign policies of the Reagan and first Bush administrations.

Worst of all, bin Mahfouz allegedly has been financing the bin Laden terrorist network -- making Bush a U.S. citizen who has done business with those who finance and support terrorists. According to USA Today, bin Mahfouz and other Saudis attempted to transfer $ 3 million to various bin Laden front operations in Saudi Arabia in 1999. ABC News reported the same year that Saudi officials stopped bin Mahfouz from contributing money directly to bin Laden. (Bin Mahfouz's sister is also a wife of Osama bin Laden, a fact that former CIA Director James Woolsey revealed in 1998 Senate testimony.)

When President Bush announced he is hot on the trail of the money used over the years to finance terrorism, he must realize that trail ultimately leads not only to Saudi Arabia, but to some of the same financiers who originally helped propel him into the oil business and later the White House. The ties between bin Laden and the White House may be much closer than he is willing to acknowledge.

Has Bill Clinton become a Republican? It is pretty sickening to see him hugging G. Bush and his stupid son.

Scares me too, seeing Clinton with the Bush family. IMO, Bush is trying to make it look like he is willing to work with Democrats instead of being that "Liberal Democrat" hater that he really is. Bush Jr. needs to kiss some Democratic ass to see if any Democrats will follow him while he dismantles Social Securtiy. The relationship, I'm sure, benefits Clinton too. It shows that he is willing to listen to Republican ideas - which might help Hillary should she try to run for the White House.
