Democrats Should Boycott FOX Altogether

Progressive blogs are furious that the Nevada Democratic Party cut some secret deal with FOX News to let FOX host the first Democratic presidential debate in August. The blogs are also furious that the Congressional Black Caucus is cutting a similar deal with FOX.

I have a simple question: why don't Democrats boycott FOX altogether? By that I mean:

  1. No Democratic elected or party official should do a 1-on-1 interview with FOX News or appear as a guest on any FOX News show
  2. Democratic consultants, "strategists," and candidates should abide by the same rule
  3. FOX News reporters and cameras should be excluded from Democratic events like fundraisers that do not take place in public buildings
  4. Democratic voters should demand Congressional passage of "a la carte" pricing for cable TV so we don't have to pay for FOX News
  5. Democratic voters should boycott all companies that advertise on FOX News

Obviously FOX has earned a Democratic boycott by repeatedly lying about Democrats. Remember at the height of the Mark Foley (R-FL) scandal when FOX labeled him a Democrat? That's just one tiny example of the FOX's crimes against Democrats - and against truth.

Politically, Democrats get virtually no votes from viewers who depend exclusively on FOX so they will reach just as many potential voters by appearing on all the other networks.

Let's use the power Congress refuses to use to end the war - the power of the purse - our purse!

Isn't it time we held FOX accountable for its endless lies?

Update 1: Dan Manatt of PoliticsTV is refusing to webcast the FOX debate - you go Dan! Mark Green of Air America Radio is insisting on full equality as co-host of the debate - hey Mark, just schedule your own debate for the very same time and let the candidates decide which one they want to participate in (hehe)! Senator Harry Reid is turning against the FOX debate, saying "I don't like FOX News" - then don't appear on it!

Update 2: FOX News president Roger Ailes is freaking out over the netroots campaign against FOX's debate and threatening Democratic candidates with revenge:

candidates are being asked to boycott debates because certain groups wants to approve the sponsoring organizations. This pressure must be resisted as it has been in the past. Any candidate for high office of either party who believes he can blacklist any news organization is making a terrible mistake about journalists.

I'd say that threat alone justifies a FOX News boycott by all Democrats!

I am very confused. Last night on Fox Hannity, Colmes, Ann Coulter were falling all over themselves about this "war hero" only for the truth to be that this man is a gay prostitute whose gay escort name is "Rod Majors". I have been watching Ann Coulter, could it be possible that she is a woman now who was a man. She has large hands, a huge adam's apple and seems to be drawn to gay men.

As far as Hannity, Colmes, O'Reilly and Coulter, they need to check out their "war heroes". Is there any corelation to Jeff Gannon, White House Press Corp who turned out to be a male escort, now thie so called Marine War Hero, crowned by the Fox Four who turns out to be a gay sex porn star and escort.

Have they completely lost their minds? Is Ann really a female who was a male who is now caught in a woman's body only wanting to go back to being a man after meeting these gay porn excorts. Fox is really gettting out there.

And Bill O'Reilly once again sticks his big hands in his mouth, misquoting NBC stats on the war. Fair and Balanced...yeah right...they are a comedy. Sadly there is no place for this kind of antics. We have young men and women dying and these fanatics can only praise a gay porn star. Hey, Fox, there are real heros out there...interview them. the problem is that they may not say what you four want them to say, THE TRUTH>

What more revenge could he do?

FOX noise has attacked and lied about every democrat in power already. we expect them to smear our people.

Gingrich confessed today [of course he left out the really yucky part about his wife being in the hospital after breast cancer and removal when he told her he was cheating and wanted a divorce] and tried to spin it as not nearly as bad a what Clinton did, because Clinton lied to congress. what a perfect way to get a man to lie, ask him if he is having an affair.

Ann Coulter calls John Edwards a faggot then has a big photo op with a gay "escort". Hypocrisy thy name is republican politician. Life is good ;)

Stung by Remarks, Nevada Democrats Cancel Debate on Fox

NYT Article

WASHINGTON, March 9 — Citing comments made by the chairman of Fox News about Senator Barack Obama, and under pressure from liberal groups and blogs, Nevada Democrats announced on Friday night that they had decided to cancel a debate in August on Fox News.

Criticism had been mounting ever since the Aug. 14 debate for Democratic presidential candidates was announced last month. Liberal blogs and groups as well as some Nevada Democrats had demanded that Fox be removed as a sponsor, arguing that its coverage was slanted toward Republicans.

Nevada’s Democratic leaders had stood firm against pressure over what had become an unpopular decision, until the Fox chairman, Roger Ailes, made a remark about Mr. Obama on Thursday night at an awards banquet here. In a series of jokes about various public officials as part of a speech, Mr. Ailes said, “It is true that Barack Obama is on the move. I don’t know if it’s true that President Bush called Musharraf and said, ‘Why can’t we catch this guy?’ ”

As the comparison, however made in jest, traveled around the Internet on Friday, the calls for Nevada Democrats to sever ties with Fox News intensified. Activists and bloggers also cited Fox’s broadcasting last month of inaccurate statements that Mr. Obama had attended a radical Muslim school while a child in Indonesia.

These bought and paid for rightwing media neocons just can’t help being Republican whores. It's all they know how to do...

conservanazi republikan noise and lies. Why has it taken this long for the rest of America to wake up and say "I won't take it anymore"?

What I can't understand is how many people put credibility to anything said on Faux. It's usually insults and lies, especially against those people who oppose anything the conservanazi republikans are in favor of or anyone who opposes the bu$h/cheney regime.

Now, if the rest of the cowardly Democrats could wake up and get a little courage in them and tell Fox to go cheney itself.

BUCK FUSH !!!
