Impeachment Imperative and Deja Vu
On 06/12/2008, the Florida Sun-Sentinel ridiculed impeachment efforts, advising that "if Congress needs more things than impeachment to keep lawmakers busy, it has myriad options."
Is their sarcasm justified? Let's look at the options. The last time the nation replaced the "bad cop" with the "good cop" (1992), we spent eight years watching a president peeled layer by layer until the bad cops managed to return to the scene of their crimes and plunder the treasury AGAIN. All of this was easily predictable politically or even just by our mothers' teaching, "if you don't hold people accountable for their crimes....."
Cleaning up others' messes and moving on without accountability has worked out wonderfully, hasn't it? We went from billions lost in false S&L profits (which we're still paying off) and over 100,000 killed in a manipulated war... to trillions plundered in "myriad" ways, nearly a million dead, and four million refugees.... with no end in sight.

SAY HELLO TO THEIR LITTLE FRIEND: TASER
The recent tasering of a student after he questioned John Kerry during a university appearance was a painful example of misjudgment by police officers. In "ganging" up on him both physically and psychologically, they instigated his shock, disorientation, then panic. Yet he was never a threat; nor was he vicious. He was not an "enemy combatant." His questioning was passionate but salient, his only "crime" being wordiness.
Such passion is not unheard of at these events. An aide will usually move in to focus the person's attention on time and decorum. Occasionally it will accelerate to a warning about calling security. No such preliminaries occurred here. The overkill in numbers and brutish behavior created a crisis of fear and an unjustified, wrongful tasering. There was NO justification for introducing this weapon.
Imperialism by incrementalism: How to dupe a democracy
INCREMENTAL IMPERIALISM: HOW TO DUPE THE DEMOCRACY
Many good people were late in recognizing the neocon agenda for what it is. The following is from an interview of Joseph Wilson that appeared in the documentary Uncovered: The whole truth about the Iraq war.
WILSON: "(In)the first Gulf War, when I came out of Baghdad in 1991, I met with the president of the United States, I met with the senior leadership of both parties, and the one thing that sticks with me to this day is the extent to which each of them had to plumb their consciences to come to a decision on how to vote on the use of force authorization. It had been a moral decision on their part. It had been one that had kept them up at night as they thought their way through this. We owe our soldiers, our sailors, our airmen and our marines nothing less before we send them to battle."
The following outlines the claim to a more realistic interpretation:

SABOTAGE IN THE WHITE HOUSE. CONGRESS, CLEAN OUT THE COCKROACHES.
SABOTAGE IN THE WHITE HOUSE. CONGRESS, CLEAN OUT THE COCKROACHES.
Some months back the blogs were abuzz about a Fox interview of Dick Cheney by Brit Hume. In discussing the pending Libby trial, Cheney bragged about having had "declassification" authority at the time. "Outing" a covert agent and compromising a taxpayer-funded national security operative and operation is now to be buried under the euphemism "declassification"? ABC's Pierre Thomas weighed in on the incoherence of this argument on the February 23rd session of Washington Week in Review.
Cheney's comment was a CONFESSION, albeit wildly incoherent. Two possibilities present themselves and both may be accurate:
"WAITING TO BE ATTACKED"- GEORGE BUSH CONFESSES
An open message to George Bush on why he is America's Enemy Combatant No. 1, an accessory to 9/11, and why he's against us, not for us.
ON SEPTEMBER 29th, you, George Bush, ACCUSED YOUR CRITICS OF WANTING TO GO BACK TO THE OLD DAYS OF "WAITING TO BE ATTACKED - AND THEN RESPONDING."
Wrong again, George. It was YOU who waited to be attacked. Everyone else was trying to prevent it from happening. They were also trying to get YOU involved in that. But you preferred to keep stalling....waiting to be attacked. You and your team of negligent and incompetent misfits -- criminally so.

The Deluge: CHENEY AND RUMSFELD PLANNED FOR CIVIL WAR IN IRAQ
THE DELUGE: CHENEY AND RUMSFELD KNEW ALL ALONG IRAQ WOULD DESCEND INTO CIVIL WAR. They wanted it, they planned it, they guaranteed it.
Just as they planned a war FOR terror, they planned a civil war FOR Iraq: In September 2002 it was revealed that Cheney backed a plan to merge Iraq with Jordan. Civil war was a necessary precursor to the execution of this plan.
For all true believers still loyal to the White House when it whimpers that NOBODY could have predicted planes would be used as WMDs, NOBODY could have predicted the levees would fail, or NOBODY could have foreseen that Iraq would descend into hellish civil war, your world is about to end.
Full Circle from Sept. 11th to the ports controversy
FULL CIRCLE FROM SEPTEMBER 11th TO THE PORT CONTROVERSY (Warning: it is
long) The Port Authority of New York and New Jersey is suing to stop
the UAE port takeover. According to the claim, the White House-brokered
Dubai deal violates the terms of the contract between the Port
Authority and P & O, the existing port operators. The Authority is
entitled to but was deprived of due process.
Ignoring the people around Ground Zero, can you imagine that? All those
first responders who worked night and day after 9/11, who continue to
A Sweetheart Deal in Every Port
ON HISTORICAL MARKERS AND DIRTY DEALS
A SWEETHEART DEAL IN EVERY PORT (The UAE to run our ports? ...Help me out...Is that a democracy?)
Come on. When does all this "I'M SHOCKED" crap from the public get old?
You have to hand it to MICHAEL MOORE for being hot on the trail - the man who said the Bush family relationship with oil-rich Arabs, including the bin Laden family, was suspiciously tight. The Carlisle group (Bush) and the once near-bankrupt Halliburton (Cheney) are now making fortunes from the U.S. cookie jar.
WHAT ARE WE STARING AT NOW? A SWEETHEART DEAL IN EVERY PORT.

Outing the traitor Cheney
Cheney has finally revealed his sick, treasonous mentality to the world, Big Time. He has been poisoning this country for years. Congress needs to kick this bastard out before he inflicts any further damage. And for the rest of us? Personally I think Jews have the right idea on handling these people, so I am taking it as my own: When others ask of them, they respond "This person is dead."
"He killed himself last week after claiming the special right to betray his country."
CONFESSIONS OF A VICE PRESIDENT
As a lesson in how to run damage control on an empty tank, Cheney's interview with Brit Hume post hunting accident was surprising enough. But the real bombshell came when the topic turned to intelligence and Cheney turned the gun on himself.
White House spying: Tolerating treason, anthrax killers
MY VETO ON NSA SPYING: A STATEMENT OF THE OBVIOUS, and a call for the anthrax killer.
HOLDING HEARINGS ON THE MATTER OF WHETHER PRESIDENTIAL NSA SPYING HAS BEEN LAWFUL? There is NO QUESTION that these wiretaps were illegal.
To Senator Leahy: There is NO QUESTION that the president committed a high crime multiple times. No amount of hearings spouting propaganda to the contrary alters that fact. WE ALREADY KNOW CRIMES HAS BEEN COMMITTED. The hearings are a sinister attempt to weasel the president out of responsibility for them.
We are summoned to engage in a FALSE DEBATE, as no AMERICAN discussion can seriously consider the choice between DEMOCRACY and MONARCHY (an unconstitutional monarchy at that). We are summoned to hear the GOP tell us we must destroy our own Constitution. We are summoned to commit an act of treason.

Alito lessons: Overthrow or over and out
SENATOR KENNEDY WAS MAGNIFICENT!
Post Alito: I hate to see people spin their wheels in a state of emotional agitation all the time. Alito is not a real surprise, given the corruption in the system that hamstrings so many, and he himself is a personaal embarrassment. And BTW, Congress has ignored Supreme Court decisions before. Bush v Gore was so effin ridiculous that we need a society formed to deal with it forever as an example of utter mental corruption.
The REAL offense was that there was even a debate on ANY nomination from a man who should have been frogmarched out of the White House years ago, who should have been served papers the week before 9/11 telling him he was not the winner of the election and should pack his bags, and who should have been tried and convicted of criminal negligence the week after 9/11. A MAJOR CITIZENS' ARREST SHOULD HAVE TAKEN PLACE YEARS AGO. Wes Clark: Thanks for the email, hon, but do you honestly expect me to write bush and ask him to be a better president? Let's get real with the language. The lies, corruption, incompetence, thievery of this regime is out of control and beyond sustainable. We can start with a new language. THESE CRIMINALS ARE DESTROYING AMERICA AND WAR PROFITEERING - LET'S CALL IT WHAT IT IS - THEY ARE PARASITES FEEDING OFF AMERICAN AND IRAQI DEAD. WE ARE TIRED OF BEING THREATENED BY BUSH AND HIS GOONS. WE ARE TIRED OF THIS VIOLENCE AGAINST US, OF BEING TOLD DO THIS OR ALQAEDA WILL PULL A 9/11 ON YOU.

OUR FILIBUSTER
I sent this to Sens.Kerry/Kennedy requesting they FILIBUSTER WITH OUR OWN WORDS. Send them YOUR own words to read at the filibuster. The following has actually changed so much from the original that anyone is free to use it as their own if so inclined.
(To the Senators). THE FILIBUSTER: Does everything go into the congressional record in a filibuster? If so, since this is OUR MOVEMENT, Senator, may I respectfully suggest you enter OUR WORDS into the record.
Here is my contribution, a response to Washington Post op ed columnist Eugene Robinson.
VOTE FOR US OR DIE: THE MEMO FROM GEORGE BUSH
