It's not enough that the Bush Administration can't consider a piece of legislation lest it be slathered with myriad "signing statements" -- i.e. presidential admissions of contempt for the rule of law. Now, it seems, they can't even work within the canyon-fitted leeway afforded by Bush's law-skirting actions. At least that's what the Government Accountability Office (GAO) said in their report (though they worded it a bit differently;)

The G8 Press conference we didn't see...

President Bush walks up to the podium, stumbling only slightly as he climbs the platform stairs. "Good morning ladies and gentlemen," he smirks. "Beautiful day today, so go easy, won'tcha."

The press clamors for attention. President Bush points his finger, "Helen."

"Mr. Bush, "How do you feel about the latest news that global warming is speeding up ocean waves? "

"Sounds like good surfin to me." Bush snickers, press follows.

As record high fuel prices, category 5 hurricanes, and drowning polar bears have helped slap some sense into the reluctant minds of many science-denying troglodytes, so to must the record hubris, category 5 incompetence, and drowning integrity of this administration slap some sense into the reluctant minds of the remaining reality-denying Bush supporters.

Oddly enough, you'd think that pardoning a traitor would be the last straw -- even for these people. You'd be wrong. In fact, acting as savior for the American betrayer known as I. Lewis "Scooter" Libby might be the only thing that can salvage Bush's remaining barrel-scum protectorate. That is what they find important. So too must he.

Anyone who dismisses Senator Obama due to his relative lack of experience doesn't understand that 'experience' is NOT the defining characteristic sought by the American public.

Be prepared when the wingnut pundits tout today’s surge in new home sales as evidence for Bush’s economy. To keep you armed, here is the dirty underbelly that the administration rather you not know. It goes something like this… 

Today, US Stocks, yields, and the Dollar all rallied on news that the U.S. new home sales were up big (+16.2%) “hinting at unexpectedly robust activity in the housing market” according to Reuters news service.

What happened to John McCain?

As of yesterday morning (May 17th) neither ABC Nor NBC had reported on either their evening or morning news broadcasts what NBC had proclaimed a "rare glimpse of a high-level, late-night power struggle" over the National Security Agency's warrantless domestic wiretapping.

Why so reluctant?

 NBC was referring to then acting Attorney General James Comey’s testimony before the Senate Judiciary Committee. In it, Comey set the foundation for the march to presidential impeachment – a point the mainstream media has yet to admit – or perhaps realize.
