Remind Republicans about PGWB's comment made on NBC I believe with Matt Lower when PGWB was campaigning (not sure 2000 or 2004) but PGWB stated that U.S. can not win the war on terrorism. The statement wast made while PGWB & Matt Lower were on a train before a campaign stop. Other statements by PGWB include: enemies staying up allnight to to kill Americans and we are doing the same, & the OBGYN statement... Think about going to court to stop the use of E-Voting machine.

Democrats can best America from terrorism

Numbers attributed to the war in Iraq include 2,810 U.S. troops killed, 10,000 injured, and the expense of $350 billion and a report that the estimated number of Iraqis killed is about 600,000. These numbers are indicative of poor leadership, & weakness in national security, a record of the Republicans who are in charge of the White House and Congress. It is very difficult for anyone to understand why Bush is claiming that he is winning in Iraq and can best protect America from the terrorists while two to three of his troops are being killed daily by terrorists in Iraq, the country that he calls the center of his fight on terror. The Republican’s claim that they can do a better job in protecting this country from terrorists is totally wrong. Majority of the Americans believe otherwise as proven with all the polls recently taken in this country. Democrats can best protect America from terrorist. Democrat’s ability to fight smartly and tough was demonstrated during the Bosnian war. I can’t recall a report that included the death of a US troop during the Bosnian war. Three U.S. troops were captured in Bosnia however, Rev. Jackson successfully negotiated their release. A Democrat, General Wesley Clark who was the Supreme Commander of NATO directed the Bosnian war. President Clinton, who created 22 million jobs, & $237 billion budget surplus is a Democrat & President during the Bosnian war. No Republican can top these records.

Setting the Agenda for the First 100 Days of the 2007 Congress

This presumes that massive election theft does not occur because the turnout on election day is so massively huge that the Cheney-Rove-Diebold-et-al cabal doesn't dare to pull a "stunning" upset. All the same, patriots, you have to keep in mind that the oligarchs -- oops, I mean the republicans -- are busily preparing us with the relentless repetition of the twin mythologies of the "vaunted Republican voter turn-out operation" and the "conservative evangelical family values voters" that produces results that contradict even more completely than the presidential 2000 and 2004 election polling data, and today that data guarantee the U.S. House --- and probably the Senate --- transform to a Democratic Party majority. It's a drag to consider, but we should really be prepared with contingency plans if 9pm election night brings, "Wait a minute, wait a minute, it looks as though 25 contests that heavily favor Democrat candidates are now in play with unexpectedly strong Republican vote totals . . ."

SO! The oligarchs --- oops, I mean the Republicans! ---

cut and run, and November 8th is morning in America!

What do we do then? said Grandfather to Peter . . .

Bob Fertik has a great list, and I don't see a single line I disagree with.
I implore that you put INVESTIGATION at the top of the list, and
investigations directed to bring forth ARTICLES OF IMPEACHMENT
against Bush-Cheney must be initiated within the first 100 days of the
new Congressional session.

This means work must start now to replace both Nancy Pelosi and
Harry Reid as the Democrats' legislative leaders. It's not acceptable
to say "We will not put impeachment on the table," and it's tragic
that she and Reid are so cowed by the rabid right wing media and the
Republican attack dogs. It is on its face totally nutz to give W a blank
check for the remaining 110 weeks of his reign. Good grief, look at
the damage Bush has already done. You want to play Russian roulette
with Bush???

Further, Pelosi & Reid fail their duties as officers of our government.
People need to understand that in the end, impeachment's got
nothing to do with how much we hate Bush/Cheney et al. This is
about a matter of law. They broke the law, and the legislators are
REQUIRED to bring articles of impeachment against them and the cabal.
People must also understand the Constitution's Article 2, Section 4:

The President, Vice-President, and all civil officers

of the United States, shall be removed from office

on impeachment for, and conviction of . . .

It means that Rice, Rumsfeld, Gonzales, even Karl Rove, can all
be impeached and removed from office, indicted, prosecuted and
convicted for their criminal actions.

You have heard about Jefferson's Manual of Parliamentary
Practices, which was essentially his vision of a time --- now --- in
which the Congress is so decadent, corrupt, bribed, bought-off,
that it's no longer responsible to the people who elected them, and
so Jefferson contrived a means by which the people in a state can
go over the heads of a "nothing doing" Congress.

Here in New Jersey we're in a campaign to get our state's
legislature to pass a Resolution to Impeach Bush-Cheney. When
this resolution is passed, thanks to Jefferson's rules, which are
part of the rules of the U.S. House, the resolution would travel
from New Jersey to the Clerk of the U.S. House, and would have
the effect of "an order transmitted to the House, directing it to
take up the issue of impeachment." This is do-able, it can be
done with dispatch, and will serve to bring momentum to John
Conyers' Resolution 635, which will initiate investigations into
articles of impeachment.

Now here's another aspect that demands mention.

Getting rid of the bad guys who now hold the power in our
government does not solve the whole problem, of course.
In fact, the restoration of justice that impeachment brings
means little unless we give equal weight to reclaiming our
democracy.

That means we must put beside impeachment at the top
of our priorities passage in Congress of the VOTERS' BILL
OF RIGHTS. The theft of two presidential elections in a row,
the theft of other elections --- look to Max Cleland losing in
Georgia, look to Chuck Hagel winning in Nebraska, and look
most recently at the weird Busby-Bilbray contest in San Diego,
California's Congressional District, the election to succeed
convicted felon Duke Cunningham --- demand that democracy
be reclaimed for the people of the United States, and that
honest elections be protected and guaranteed. Federally
mandated oversight of our election process is essential; so
too should international oversight bodies be invited to
monitor elections in our country.

Paper-only balloting must be our national standard for
democracy. At present, every voting machine can be rigged.

Paper-only balloting is one proof that simpler and cheaper is
the best way to go. Among our key documents listed here
is our proposed VOTERS' BILL OF RIGHTS. It deserves
your active support.

Please contact us, visit our site and learn how you can
support our campaign. It's all part of the work to restore
justice in our country, and to reclaim democracy. It is all of a
piece, but this in particular deserves to head the list. The path
to preserve, protect and defend our Constituion is the path of
impeachment.

Thanks, Hutch.

Impeach the Bush gang!

Impeach them, You really have to slow down...

the congress we just voted in will not be sworn in until January 3rd. Until they are sworn in, not much will take place except some political manuvering.

The Committee chairs in the House will change over on Jan. 3rd...and business will begin. There are rules governing the changeover that have to be followed.

First on the agenda will be some things Nancy wants to get settled and presented to Bush to sign or veto. Anything that he vetoes that is good for Joe Sixpack, will come back and bite him where he sits.

You can't expect much other than initiating official investigations in the various committees until about April at the earliest.

It is the thought of those investigations that has the Bush Cabal sweating. There will be a big fight over executive privilege vis-a-vis congressional oversight. Bush has been ruling primarily by Executive Order. Were we to gain the presidency in '08, all of Bush's executive orders can be cancelled...and so can his pardons.

If things break right for our people, it is very likely that the sealed records of the Bush I and Bush II administrations that pertain to Iran/Contra may be exhumed from wherever they have been hidden. The sins are so many however, it may be difficult to narrow the search.

Patience friends...our people have a lot of work to do to correct wrongs and to produce 'rights' for us all.

Vote Machine meltdown - but US press says all went well!

Note the following from Mark Crispin Miller: "For those Americans not suffering from amnesia,
there's something scarily familiar in the crackpot split between what's really happened and the press's
pollyanna version of that painful truth.

Just as in 2004, when all the media quite pointedly ignored the countless loud reports of vote suppression
and machine malfunction coast to coast, the same thing is happening again. "I've already sent out several items
on the over-sanguine fictions vended by the corporate media since the sun came up last Tuesday morning:
"ABC concocts 'a bright note'" and "Two items on the NBC/GOP partnership," both mailed on Election Day.

There's also "US press still in denial," mailed out on November 10th. Those items are up on blog at Mark Crispin Miller.

"And Kat L'Estrange has also sent me this one - from the BBC! It is especially troubling,
as the US e-voting industry proceeds to push their wares abroad:" Click BBC Report
US voting machines reliable as ever
Voter bashes one up with paperweight

By: INQUIRER newsdesk Wednesday 08 November 2006
ELECTRONIC VOTING MACHINES used in the US mid-term elections have been found to be a tad glitch-happy,
reports the BBC. The electronic voting machines are fairly new and have been widely replacing
traditional voting systems such as punch-card machines. Precincts in Indiana and Ohio have had their voting
delayed thanks to electronic glitches, and have had their voting hours extended. Supposedly, there are areas
in Tennessee and Colorado which have extended voting hours at their polling stations.

BBC respondant Justin Webb says that if the election results are clear one way or another,
the glitches won't make for much of a problem,
however, if there's little in it, eyebrows should possibly be raised. Ilinois, New Jersey, Virginia, Florida
and Maryland have also ran into trouble with electronic voting, though it's reported that the glitches were only minor.

*******************************************************************************

Miller continues: So, friends, it is, to say the least, important that we keep on circulating the unhappy news that
those machines were, once again, a massive flop. For instance, this just in from the excellent BradBlog:
ES&S VOTING MACHINES FAIL AGAIN: More Votes than Voters in Arkansas, Thousands of Votes
Missing in Florida and Zero Votes Recorded for One Mayoral Candidate
Paperless iVotronic Touch-screen Systems Report Unprecedented Voter Turnout in one AR County,
Thousands of Undervotes in U.S. House, Attorney General Race in Four FL Counties
Zero Votes Recorded on ES&S System for Mayoral Candidate in Small Town
Orlando Sentinel's coverage on Friday began with these incredible words [emphasis ours]:
Touch-screen-voting machines in at least four Florida counties recorded unusually high
new electronic-ballot machines may not be as foolproof as hoped.
"Not as foolproof as hoped"?!
Just who exactly are the fools they're referring to there?... FULL STORY: BradBlog

Vote Republican: the party

Vote Republican: the party of deception, corruption, devastation, torture and oppression.

More than that they should be turned over to the Hague. Perhaps, with a trip to Ubekistan for 'interrogation' for a few weeks prior to trial.

CRAIG MURRAY:( British ambassador to Ubekistan

I think there's no doubt now that extraordinary rendition is happening. I mean, this is just further documentary evidence.

And the, you know, certainly, ethnic Uzbeks, the United States was bringing into Uzbekistan. So that, itself, proves that President Bush is lying in saying that they don't take people to countries that torture.

And, you know, one of the amazing things is that even a country like Syria, which occasionally is in the sort of list of evil places, cooperates with the C.I.A. in the extraordinary rendition program and in giving intelligence.

So, there is no doubt that George Bush and Condoleezza Rice have been lying through their teeth about extraordinary rendition for some time. And more and more information is going to come out about it. The Council of Europe is conducting an investigation, and I’m going to be testifying before that inquiry.

I had been there for two or three months, which was long enough to know that, effectively, any Uzbek political or religious detainee is going to be tortured.

There's no question of definition here. You know, we're not talking about ‘Is that or is that not torture?’ We're talking about people having their fingernails pulled, having their teeth smashed with hammers, having their limbs broken, and being raped with objects, including broken bottles; both male and female rape, extremely common in Uzbek prisons.

And from the security service, which was operating right alongside the C.I.A., we were getting this intelligence
