Last week Ann Coulter told CNBC's Donny Deutsch that Jews need to be "perfected" through conversion to Christianity.
Deutsch was shocked, but didn't have the brains to ask "and if they don't?" Deutsch apparently never heard of the Spanish Inquisition, when Jews (and Muslims) had a simple choice: convert to Catholicism, leave Spain, or die.
Many conservative Christians believe the United States should be a "Christian Nation," just as Spain was a Catholic nation. So the idea that the Christian religion might be enforced through an Inquisition-like authority is not an absurd one - especially for someone like Ann Coulter who believes Joe McCarthy was right.
Deutsch discussed his interview with Coulter on the Today Show with Meredith Vieira, who listed a few of Coulter's most outrageous remarks:
VIEIRA: Last year on your show, about Bill Clinton she said, "I think that sort of rampant promiscuity does show some level of latent homosexuality."
DEUTSCH: Right.
VIEIRA: Muslims: "We should invade their countries, kill their leaders, convert them to Christianity." On the 9-11 widows, she said among other things, "I've never seen people enjoying their husbands' deaths so much."
For every other American, expressing views like these would guarantee no more TV invitations. But when Vieira asked Deutsch,
VIEIRA: So you're saying she should not be allowed on the air?
DEUTSCH: Oh, of course she should be allowed on the air. It's free speech.
Free speech?
If anyone in America could line up to freely give their political opinions on TV, one line would go from Bangor to San Diego, the other from the Florida Keys to the Aleutians.
Speaking about politics on network TV isn't "free," it's perhaps the most highly rationed commodity in America. You can't get on for love or money, and neither can I (although Bill O'Reilly put me on his show once and quickly threw me off when I kicked his ass.)
So if you or I can't get on TV whenever we want, why can Ann Coulter?
It would be one thing if she had something valuable to say, like Al Gore. But all she ever does is spew her hate towards Democrats, progressives, Muslims, 9-11 victims, and now Jews.
Coulter can exercise her free speech rights the way the rest of us can - stand on street corners, blog, write books, host town meetings.
But she has no "free speech" right to get booked on network TV to spew hate.
Is it that hard for Donny Deutsch to figure out?

Who is Ann C? I know!
I sincerely believe Ann Coulter is a progressive Democrat mole entrenched in the Republican Party. She was placed there when she was in law school by the secret legal society known only as Rich and Powerful Jewish Hollywood Liberals. Her task is to prove liberal media bias is anti-free expression by trying to censor her right to spew her own take on Christian vote pandering. She is sacrificing for our cause, making herself the loathed goat, or pig if you will, who carries Hate Media sins to the edge of the cliff, falls over, only to be smashed and then reborn in yet another segment of a foolish pol pundit talk show. She is our only true Phoenix. Please, please, please don't reveal Ann's cover, she's not CIA.

Hey, I hate Ann Coulter and everything she stands for with the bloodiest of purple passions; I'd love nothing more than to have about six minutes of quality time alone with her and an Adirondack aluminum baseball bat. That said, she certainly *does* have the right to spew her hate. Free speech is only free speech if it applies to everyone, AND in every available medium, even if it means the most odious, twisted freak in society, (viz, Ann Coulter), gets to regurgitate their filth. And I'm sorry, but as long as controversy sells and the American public is buying, she and her ilk will never want for willing partners in their nauseating crusade of shameless hate-speech dissemination. After all, TV isn't about right and wrong, mi amigo, it's about corporate sponsorship. Period. If you really want to see her invitation to croak forth her idiotic vitriol revoked, just see to it somehow that she costs the offending media outlet the loss of several corporate sponsors and she'll be about as welcome to appear on TV again as a chronically flatulent priest with tourettes syndrome at the Vatican. (Sadly, this kind of corporate image-polishing is what really drove the stake through Don Imus' little twisted raisin of a heart, not any altruistic sense of trying to be fair to the African American community). You may well be asking yourself a very good question right about now. "Why does he leap to the defense of this shit-eyed harpy?" Because, gentle reader, I don't want anyone censoring *MY* hate speech when this evil, loveless, serial-rejected, cosmetic-surgically-addicted, peroxide fuming, leathery-skinned, 50-something, bulemic jackal pisses me off and I make it clear that I find nothing more appealing than the prospect of popping her eyeballs out of her skull with my dirty thumbnails and subsequently pissing on her brain. Hey, the truth is often ugly, but it does set you free.

One sided hate speech, is not "Freedom of Speech".
A perfect example of the lack of "Freedom of Speech" in the Media was noted on the Fox program "Hannity and Colmes" show.
On October 11, 2007 the, "Hannity and Colmes",show had three University Students to discuss hate week against Muslims at their University, titled, "Islamo-Facism Week". As usual the panel was stacked in favor of the hate speech week. The "Hannity and Colmes" hate fest continued throughout the week against Muslims with such regular Muslim haters, as Steve Emerson, and David Horowicz.
The evidence to further prove, what most of us already know, is that the Media is set up to be bias and to spoon feed a one sided point of view, was proven once again. It was proven when the student against the hate week, Adam Kokesh (sp) pointed out that the "Islamo-Facism week", that was organized by a racist group of conservatives called "Young Americans"( or something), was an attack on Muslim Students. And when he, Adam Kokesh, wanted to have a Muslim student on the show with him to voice that fact, he was refused by the Fox producer.
It was priceless to see the Fox staff try and cover up the fact that they were proven on national television to be bias bigots. Simply, Pricelss.
Everyone knows what Ann Coulter represents. If Deutsch was not offended enough by Coulter's hate against Muslims, the 9/11 Widows, the Military, and Gays, to not invite her on his show. Than he should not be shocked or outraged that she added Jews to the mix. If Deutsch want hate speech for ratings for his show, than he got it, so what is the complaint? Was her hate speech against all other groups "Freedom of Speech", but hate speech against Jews is offensive? At least with Deutsch being a Jew, he had the power to debate and defend his position, on his show. But, not all groups have that right, or power to get the truth out against hatemongers. Usually when the bias Media pretend to have the other side of view, it is a republican using the label "progressive", "liberal", or "democrat","or whatever they need to pretend to fair and balance", but never a liberal or truth-teller.
There was talk of the "Fairness Doctrine" that would force "Freedom of Speech" for all opinions. If that is what it will take to stop the hatemongers and liars, than it is time for the "Fairness Doctrine".
Because if there had been Liberals in the media leading up to the Iraq war, there would not be an Iraq war, because we talk truth to power, all the time.
Ann and "Free Speech"
Ann has free speech but the rest of us don't. Protestors are silenced and attacked...even jailed for their truth to power. Ann gets rich with her book deals (money laundering through publishing corporations) to spread her lies and hate. The WH propaganda machine pays her well (with our money).
