The New York Times and the Washington Post both report that John McCain did lots of favors in 1999 for clients of lobbyist Vicki Iseman (left), a pretty woman half his age who bears a striking resemblance to Cindy McCain (right).
Both McCain and Iseman deny they had an affair, but no one except Sean Hannity and Joe Scarborough are going to believe them when he did so many favors for her clients, and she bragged all over town about her clout with McCain.
Besides, McCain is both a serial philanderer and influence peddler. He married Cindy just a month after divorcing his first wife Carol, which was his way of thanking her for nursing him back to health after the Hanoi Hilton. And of course he was censured in 1991 for being one of the "Keating Five," when he pressured bank regulators on behalf of S&L profiteer Frank Keating.
Iseman started her career as a secretary but rose to become the youngest partner ever in the DC lobbying firm Alcade & Fay. After the stories broke on Wednesday, her bio was suddenly scrubbed from their web site (broken link, Google cache). It looks like the other partners in Alcade & Fay don't want to go down with the McCain-Iseman ship. What selfish creeps - after all she did for them!

McCain Is A Real Man, Maybe
If Johnny the Wonder Moderate even thought of an affair with Vivacious Vicki the Voluptuous Vixen of K Street, he gets my vote. I've had more than enough of Bible thumping sexual hypocrites. I want more politicians with raging hormones and primal urges to lead us back into the Sexual Revolution from whence we came. Remember the good old days before Xtian social conservatives ran the country? Hot tubs, not Blackwater.
Ol'John a moderate ?
I do take your point Smart Olfart however I can't imagine calling Ol'John a moderate with his remarks about the American people not caring if the Iraq war lasts a 100 or even a thousand years. Wack job, nut bar, or even grumpy old man fit him much better in my book. I don't care who is "romancing" whom as long as the work is getting done on behalf of the American people. But if McCain really did take lots of money and gifts from Ms. Iseman and or her clients then move legislation on their behalf, that I very much care about. And it comes out just on the day that McCain is bashing Obama for not having strong ethics LOL
Interesting to me how the ones who call the loudest for reform are often the ones who themselves are the reason that serious reform is needed. Example those who pushed impeachment of Clinton the hardest were guilty of the same infringement. Today they seem to have forgotten all about the multi-million dollar investigations of the Clintons that went nowhere, while they cry like children that the NYT is behaving like The National Enquirer in reporting on McCain's dalliance and possibly illegal activities. It really makes a difference when it is your oxe getting gored doesn't it you bunch of right-wing-authoritarian-hypocrits?
BTW McCain just became a Southern Baptist in time for this run for the presidency.
