After 5 years it is time to end the Iraq occupation that never should have started. War is a dying business (4,000 American soldiers have died, tens of thousands have been wounded and more than 1 million Iraqi citizens have died).

Citizens of the 4th Congressional District will meet to discuss our plans to pressure Randy Forbes to stop funding the war. We also need to discuss the support that we, as a community can provide to the returning veterans who have suffered physical and mental wounds.

Because of the size of the 4th District I would like to have two Town Halls: one in Chesapeake (Randy Forbes' home town) and another in Petersburg.

On January 25, 2008 I announced my candidacy for U.S. House of Representatives in the VA 4th Congressional District as a Democrat.

Currently, I am working on collecting 1500 signatures to satisfy the ballot access requirement. We need volunteers to help gather signatures as well as do literature drops and assist with fundraising.

My primary issues are:

• Impeach Cheney/Bush
• Single Payer National Healthcare (HR 676)
• Restore Constitutional Law
• Repeal the Patriot Act
• Cancel NAFTA/WTO
• "Green Jobs" and "Green Energy"
• Worker's Rights
• Full Equality Marriage Rights
• Fair Taxes
• End the Death Penalty
