I called Congressman Chris Carney, a Democrat who consistently votes with the Republicans on Iraq. I asked Congressman Carney to vote against funding for Iraq. A staffer took my name and address and told me they would send me a letter explaining his vote. I told her that people are getting angry and that if Congressman Carney continues to vote with the Republicans, it doesn't matter who wins the election for his seat in November. She responded, "Uh-huh". Don't count on Carney's vote.

IRAQ TOWN HALL IN WILLIAMSPORT AREA.

Hello Pennsylvania, Lycoming County area people for peace and justice in Iraq. My name is Nate Smith, I am a member of military families speak out (MFSO) previously of the Utah chapter. I just recently relocated to the Williamsport area and am in the Pennsylvania 10th Congressional District. My Congressional Rep here is a Democrat named Chris Carney.

I would like to organize an Iraq Town Hall meeting for either April 17, 18 or Saturday April 19.

I would like to plan it for the evening time so that working people could attend the event. I am not aware of any other MFSO members or IVAW members in this area. I am thinking of contacting Lycoming College as an event location to get requirements. I have a current student in my acquintance who may be able to help me.
