thank you
this is great news. can we get a copy of the bill summary posted soon so folks can contact their own reps to support it?
I called Woolsey's Press Flack
He said they're not releasing a draft 'til after the press conference. He did indicate some bullet points would be made avail., but didn't follow through to an email follow-up request.
We'll have to wait 'til tomorrow.

I Love It, But....
of course, certain Democrats will run for cover. They don't want to do anything that might hurt them politically (the cowards). Still, it's very good news that Lee, Woolsey, and Waters are doing this: soon Libby's trial will start, which will make this administration look worse by the day. Next, many of our current and former Senators might have trouble due to past corruption, and last but not least, we'll have investigation after investigation. All this, as opposition to the war gets louder and louder by the day. We absolutely need their voices in Congress. Progressives will turn this country around.
Progressive Caucus has Clout
Progressive Caucus is the largest in Congress, w/Pelosi as former co-chair. I think it makes it to a floor vote. You could be right, though, and some Dems may shy away. That's not necessarily a bad thing as they who vote against this will expose themselves as targets for future "lobbying"....

It'd Be Great If...
it made it to the floor. This just might be a "put your money where your mouth is" piece of legislation. On the Senate side, Carl Levin has said they won't cut off funding for the troop escalation, although, from what I've read, the public supports it. Woolsey, Lee, and Waters might be saying: "Well, will you at least support this?" Yes, let's see which members of congress are targets for future lobbyists. Of course, Steny Hoyer--that true believer in corporate lobbying--will oppose it.
